Chapter 24 - Going home

River POV

I woke up and the bright light made me close my eyes again. What the hell? Where am I?

I open my eyes slowly fighting the headache and I notice that I am not in my bedroom. I look around and I can’t see Gabriel. I see all the machines and the beeping sound is going to drive me insane.

I move my head slightly and I am hit my nauseous. Oh god. What the hell is happening? My entire body aches. Everything is sore. I feel like I was run over by a bus.

I move my hand and I feel a button near my fingers. I press it twice and soon after a nurse walks in.
