Gabriel POV

I get up once River told me she didn’t know how to say it.

I couldn’t face her. It’s the first time ever that I’ve actually fallen for a girl. But apparently, she doesn’t like me the same way. She is not one of those girls that just use people for their money. I know that for a fact. But hell.

“Gabe, please, stop” - River says standing up in front of me.

“I get it” - I say forcing myself to stay calm.

“No, Gabe, please look at me” - River says cradling my face between her hands and her lips meet mine.

I wrap my arms around her waist and I pull her closer to me.

Exactly my thought. It’s Vanessa. I hope this passes soon, b/c I’m a bit bummed we’ve read more sex with him and everyone else vs them together.
