Chapter 1900 Sam Attacks the Men

Author: Night Eleven
The thug shook his head, staring at Sam in confusion. "What did you just do?"

Sam spread his hands innocently. "Huh, how are you this dumb? You flew backward on your own, and you're asking me what I did?"

The thug's face darkened with anger. He said, "Everyone, we'll attack together. This little brat's got something weird going on."

The others didn't waste words and surged toward Sam all at once. They surrounded him and trapped him in a circle. As for Sawyer standing nearby, they weren't worried about him at all.

They figured he was just an old man who couldn't run fast even if he tried. They could grab him anytime.

Sam looked at the formation around him and frowned slightly. "Why aren't you moving yet? I've got other things to do later, so stop wasting my time."

The lead thug called out from behind. "This kid's got a big mouth! Everyone, get him!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, the men surrounding Sam all raised their fists and swung at him. Sam instantly dropped i

Torven stood frozen for a moment. He looked at the weapons his men were holding, then at Sam, who was unarmed. He let out a mocking chuckle and said, "You got lucky last time. Did you really think you're some kind of invincible fighter?" He then told his men, "Have some fun with him." Then he strolled over to a chair at the side. Since Sawyer wasn't here, he must have gone back to Pratt Group. The company was under investigation now, and as deputy mayor, Torven would naturally need to check on things there. With Torven's order to kill Sam, the thugs stopped holding back. Blades flashed as they swung at Sam. Sam just smirked at the incoming weapons. As a blade came at his face, he raised two fingers and caught it between them. The thug froze, then pulled with all his might, but the weapon wouldn't budge. It was like trying to move a mountain. With just a light squeeze, the blade snapped in half. The remaining thugs saw what happened and kept charging toward Sam. Sam let out

Torven said to Sawyer, "You've moved Wyatt somewhere else in secret, and that's pretty smart of you. But it won't change anything. "Oh, and I want the original USB drive. If it's a backup, you won't ever get to see your daughter again." His voice had been altered to prevent any problems if Sawyer were to try recording it for evidence later. Sawyer's knuckles went white as his grip on the phone instantly tightened. "Leave families out of this. You can come after me, but using my daughter to threaten me? What kind of man does that?" Torven's voice was ice-cold and emotionless. "You brought this on yourself. My life's on the line here, and you expect me to play by some code of honor? Am I insane?" Torven continued, "Check your email." Sawyer fumbled with his computer and clicked on the newest video. On screen, Piper was tied to a metal chair with tape over her mouth, tears and terror filling her eyes. "Piper!" Sawyer couldn't help crying out, feeling like a sledgehammer ha

Meanwhile, a driver had already brought Sawyer to what looked like an ordinary residence. Though it seemed unremarkable from the outside, guards were posted all around. Having called ahead, Sawyer walked straight to a door and knocked. A steady voice came from within. "Come in." Sawyer pushed open the door and stepped inside. The room had simple furnishings and smelled pleasantly of sandalwood. The elderly man inside closed his files when he saw Sawyer enter, then stood to greet him. "Hello, Sawyer." Sawyer smiled a little. "Desmond, sorry to bother you so late." Desmond Dobelli waved him off. "Don't say that. We've been friends for too long for such formalities." He handed over a cup of coffee. "Now, where's this evidence you mentioned about Torven breaking the law?"Sawyer didn't hesitate, pulling a USB drive from his pocket. "There's a video on here that's all the evidence you need. You had always suspected something was amiss about that gas explosion case years ago, bu

Emmett clenched his jaw as his face turned ashen. Stillborns like him would always turn into Malathrans, so his emotional outburst was bound to stir up the other evil spirits. But this time, the evil spirits he'd been feeding were in for a nasty karmic backlash, like that one in the living room. When karma caught up with it, all that showed on its face was twisted rage. The same went for those evil spirits buried in the Keating family cemetery, who had all tried to keep the Keatings down. Without the energy of Keating descendants, they couldn't even hold their ground in the Netherrealm, much less feast on any offerings. After years of being pushed around, the Keating ancestors weren't about to show them any mercy. A family that had earned its honor through military service wouldn't stand for this kind of disrespect. Whoever had set up this whole scheme had gotten way too cocky about their plan. Or maybe they just couldn't imagine anyone would figure out their double-layered tra

  • The Heiress' Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call   Chapter 1897 Awakening

This whole situation with the Keating family was not something the arcane priests could solve just by having great arcane powers. Also, Betty's twin brother technically belonged in Audrey's womb to begin with. With her body protecting him, he would never show himself as an evil spirit. Forget about giving them seven days to solve the Keating family's problem—even a whole month wouldn't be enough. This third evil spirit was something no ordinary person could have figured out. The three priests looked at Aria once again. They really wanted to know who exactly she was. If she were one of their peers, why hadn't they heard her name in all these years? And if she were a new apprentice who had just started practicing arcane, how could someone with such incredible natural talent not belong to any sect? Her name wasn't on the attendance list of the Conclave of the Arcane, either. Why didn't Farshya send her as a representative? The three priests exchanged glances, all showing the sam
