“You are not answering me, Alexander!” I bellowed, anger palpable in my voice.

Alexander scrambled to his feet. Holding my hand tighter, he cried out. “I know I’ve wronged you, but can we start again? There’s a lot I want to say to you,”

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I looked down on Alexander, whose hand was still on my feet.

Hindering me from going further, he pleaded more. I scoffed in disbelief, trying to make do of everything that’s happening.

“Are you even listening to yourself?” I yanked his hands off.

“My nudes are out there, thriving on the internet–”

“I’ll try as much as possible to make sure I stop it all. I can tell you everything you need to know.”

“Alex, do I look like I care? It’s none of my business!” I screamed in total anger.

Pushing him off, I made my way up the stairs, and quickly I launched towards the wardrobe.

“What are you doing? You signed a contract, Sophia.”

“Are you now forcing me against my will?” I flinched, my heart racing faster.

My legs went numb almost immediately. My body quivered as I shivered in fear. This can’t be possible? My father can never be one of them. I need to hear this from him directly.“You are lying, ain’t you?” I seethed with a clenched fist.“And why would I lie about something like that, huh?” Alex ran his hands through his hair.Even though he looked sincere enough, I still didn’t believe him. Or maybe I just don’t want to.“I don’t know. I mean…I–” I took a pause, before sinking into one of the chairs nearby. My eyes darted from one end to another. This is not just right. My father will never be involved in scandalous things like that. And he wouldn’t have placed my life on the line.“I need to see my father,” I muttered, panting heavily as I reached for my iPhone to dial Ariel’s number.Just then, I paused. Staring at her number, I reconsidered and stood on my feet.“I need to see my father,” I said, making my way to the door.“You cannot go out there alone, it’s dangerous. You need t

I couldn’t sleep since Sophia left. All I could think about was my grandmother, who was shut in cold blood.Who could have done such? Ethan? Can never be Elizabeth or Marcus? But at this stage, I cannot vouch for them either. So who could it be?Just then, my phone rang, and it was the undercover agent speaking.“Your brother is back,” Lana said in a whisper.“My brother? Sean?” “Yes. He arrived just after the demise of your mother was announced.”“And have you been able to trail him?” I inquired further, fear surging through me.“I lost track of him.”Just as I heard that Lana couldn’t track him anymore, fear set in. My past was beginning to catch up with me. Even though I didn’t do anything wrong. Sean had made me do some bad things, and now that I’m having it all together, he is back. To ruin everything just as he has promised. To me, he’s dead. But to my grandmother, he has always been the best. Why? He makes me take most of the blame, and he acts as the good one.But the las

“Shhh…” “Please,” I muffled against his hand. Not until the lamp beside the bed came on.Only to see Alexander staring at me in the dark, his shirt slightly open.“You are back? I thought you said…” I wasn’t done talking when he kissed the words off my lips.I whirled my hand around his neck, deepening the kiss with my tongue sliding in and out of his mouth. It’s been two weeks since we both had sex. It has been from one issue to another. From my health issues to his grandmother. And now, we finally have some moments to ourselves. Not that the issue has been solved, but sometimes the body wants what it wants. And luckily for him, I was in one of my sexy lingerie sets. I had only put them on because the heat was just too much. “I love you, Alexander Reid,” Sophia replied almost immediately. “I love you, too.” Sliding his hand beneath my lingerie, he ripped it off. My nipples stood proud, tightening up at just one touch from him. Fumbling my hand through his shirt, he stepped aw

Sophia’s POVBy the time my eyes were opened, I could barely recognise where I was.The first person I could see was Ariel, but my vision was still blurry. “Soph? Are you okay?” Ariel asked, stroking my hair slowly.“Where is this place?” I placed my hand on my head as I tried to get up.“You need to stay put. The doctor said you are with child already,” Ariel announced with a smile on her face.“Your dad is on his way back from California.” Ariel smiled before hugging me tighter.“Alexander and his guards are here in the hospital,” Ariel replied.I was about to respond when Alexander dashed in, his eyes boring into mine.Motioning towards me slowly, he finally closed the gap before taking my lips in his. His other hand caressed my belly, as we both stayed locked for a second. The only thing we heard was the clicking of the door.Seems Ariel left already. We broke off the kiss with Alex hugging me tighter.“I thought I was going to lose you,” he whispered against my shoulder. Patti

At this point, I knew I needed some undercover agents who didn’t belong to my firm.As far as I know, Marcus knows almost all my undercover agents, except the one I’m on the phone with. I needed more hands on deck, and I need the ones Marcus doesn’t know.“Sophia, are you there?” “Hello! Babe?” Realising that I didn’t hear anything from the other side of the phone, I hung up the phone. The journey back home was a long one, and I couldn’t just wait to reach my destination. Just as the pilot announced that we were landing, I couldn’t contain my joy. Bidding my personal assistant goodbye, I made my way towards the car and headed back home. Upon getting back, it was dark already, and I’m sure Sophia would have slept. But I was wrong. She was only lurking in the dark, but immediately I opened the living room door, her voice caught me off guard. “Hi babe,”“Who are you, Alexander Reid?” She asked, breaking into tears.Casting my bag to the couch, I approached her slowly, but she woul

Upon getting into the company this morning, I couldn’t help but avoid direct eye contact with my staff.“Good morning, boss.”“Thank you. Good morning to you all. I hope you had a great holiday and more time for yourselves.” I said with a broad smile. Just after I did that, I made my way towards my office, smiling to myself. The honeymoon had been great and definitely not without lots of romance and sex in it.I thought my marriage was going to be something hellish. But guess who made it fun? Alexander.Maybe he wasn’t a bad person like I’d presumed. And maybe fate had only brought him my way to compensate me for meeting a terrible person like Ethan.Upon entering the office, memories of how Alexander had fucked me so hard on the table kept coming back.I clicked my teeth and shook my head slowly before finally settling into my chair.“I love you, Alexander Reid,” I muttered under my breath. Fumbling with my breast and thinking about the naughty things he had promised to do to me wh

The only thing on my mind was how to make Sophia happy. A woman like her deserved someone better. Not just anyone. And the fact that she has chosen me, and her father has entrusted her into my hands. I need to prove that I was worthy of her.“Marcus,” I snapped while he quickly bowed his head.“What were you thinking about?” “Nothing,” he smiled, before handing out the files to me.It’s another Monday morning. A week has passed, and our honeymoon has been a wonderful one. I’ve never had so much fun as I did. Upon getting to the office, I started to dish out everything to Marcus. But in the end, I noticed that his attention had been divided. He wasn’t concentrating, nor was he even listening to whatever I was saying. I could see some fatigue on his face. And not just that, his face looked pale and saggy.“Do you need a break, Marcus? I could give you–”“No,” he replied abruptly. I stared at him for a while, but realised he wouldn’t even look at me for a second. It was very unlike

Maybe my father was right after all. I might as well give Alexander a benefit of doubt. After all, he has proved himself to me, not once but twice. He has shown me that he is a good man. But what if he changes just like Ethan at the end of the day. What will happen to my shattered heart?“I need your body, soul, and heart to be mine, Soph. Why are you resisting me?” Alexander crawled towards Sophia, while she moved back slowly on the table.“Alex…”“I love it when you call my name, just like that…I’m hooked,” He whispered, pulling me gently by the leg, before shifting my panties.“All you want is a child, right? And the deal is over?” I gasped as I felt his hand stop midway. “Seriously? Do you think this is all about the contract form?”“Isn’t that what the deal is all about?” I replied frankly, closing my thighs and sliding my pants back to their right position.“I want to go home,” I answered, before dashing up the stairs. “Sophia Lancaster, am I that despicable to you?” Alexande
