I slowly looked up at Tyler, stretching up the paper for him to see clearly, “What do you mean here?” I point at the statement.

Even if he really wanted to leave me but what does the statement agreement on the paper means. Lillian stepped forward, bending hypocritical in the way she talked.

“Hailey, I really thought you were smarter than he told me about. I mean, I expected you to be better than this.” Her eyes glaring deep into mine, I couldn’t tell her next move but she grabbed my hair all of a sudden making me yelp in pain.

“Fuck.” I groaned, trying to keep myself in check and retrieve myself back. I expected Tyler to at least step in and stood up for me but he was only staring at her with a mischievous expression.

“It’s simple. This states you’ll be a substitute for me in prison. I was accused of embezzling company funds which I did for your husband and soon to be ex husband here, luckily, it’s just accusation so you might wxcape.” She released me, pushing me disgustingly.

“Why will you do this Tyler? You are destroying yourself.” I wasn’t concerned about the charging or replacing her in court because I could easily get away with it and provide sufficient evidence that I wasn’t the one but Lillian.

I stood up weak expecting a response from him but he stood back and went to sit on the couch, he then rest on his knees using his hands for support.

“Because I hate you.” The word, ‘I HATE YOU’ rang in my head and I staggered in shock, all these while, I was the only one being delusional by loving him.

“I only saw you as a puppet into managing my family, I mean, you took up hard works, help mom at the market and even become a full house wife for me so why not?”

“It helped me in concentrating more on the love of my life. Now that you know the truth, will you sign the document and get the fuck out of the Fernanfro mansion before your stain stench the house.”

Lillian laughed at his words, but I was rather heartbroken. Just then the door opened and my mother-in-law and sister-in-law came in. I thought I was finally saved seeing them.

They wouldn’t agree for him to divorce me no matter what. I helped my sister-in-law, Benita get into the most prestigious university and even give her monthly allowance every month without missing even though she doesn’t ask me question.

“You don’t have the right to do that. Will mom agree to it?” I spoke out as mom came over, she smiled and I thought she was coming for me until she went over to Lillian hugging her.

Benita did the same squealing all over her. “Oh my God, Sis Lillian had to be the beauty goddess of our family. I’m so happy having her as my sister-in-law.” My jaw dropped in shock with the flatter and the sweet interactions between all of them.

It made me felt like the outsider of the family or maybe I had been one but didn’t want to believe it. I shake my head, my eyes teary as I cried silently.

“What the fuck do you all think you are doing.” I screamed holding my head, everyone stopped dead in tracks and faced me.

“What’s she doing here brother?” That was Benita’s voice. Her voice laced with disdain and irritation, staring at her, I couldn’t believe this was the same lady I had sponsored through and she’ll be in her final year soon.

My shock at everyone attitude was too unreal and I was starting to have a headache on whatever they were doing.

“Doing what was wright.”

“Who’ll want their son to stay with an empty useless barren and a filthy delicer woman.” My mother-in-law scoffed out in disdain. I was in disbelief with what she just said.

“If this is a prank, then you all better stop it right now because this is real insanity.” I was tired of their acting.

“You are the one being delusional here ok. My brother only loves Lillian and will never love someone as low as you.”

“Brother, do you know she was actually sleeping with older men just to get the top university and even all the money she was giving me. Gross!”

Hearing that from Benita made me more heartbroken. Was this the family I broke ties with my own people for?

Was this the people I let go of my identity for? Was I blind in the first place or was it just being grateful?

I’ve had enough of their tantrums and now it was time for me to unleash the real devil in me. I crossed my arms, staring hard at Benita who was showing her arrogance was annoying me so much.

‘THWACK.’ I didn’t expect the slap coming from me, I had no idea when I even moved my hand to slap her hard on her right cheek. Serves her right!

“I’ll give you my money just for you to have a great life in the university, I’ll ask for my brother to give you a full time free admission to the top university without you worrying to pay any dime because I thought I was assisting you means assisting my husband.” She shifted back in fear as I walked towards her.

“But you are framing me? Coming from you is really shocking cause wow.” I laughed sarcastically. My eyes were red from anger.

I face my mother-in-law, “I really think you should have your son checked up, I’m not the one with the problem of not giving birth, it was him who refused to touch me. I fear he shouldn’t be impotent right.”

I knew he wouldn’t be impotent judging by how much intimacy was between Lillian and him but I was using that to intimidate his mom and it was really fun.

“Now back to you, the one million you are offering me to be a stand-in for a fraud like her is really cheap. That 1million alone is just the money for the doormat of my house and you think you are worthy of me ?” I laughed out.

I picked up the divorce paper signing it frantically. “You should really watch out these days because that’s the only way to avoid you getting imprisoned.”

“I don’t have any ties with your family anymore, early morning tomorrow, we’ll get the divorce certificates tomorrow. ”

With that said, I gently walked out of the mansion not picking anything except for the purse I bought in while coming from outside.

  • The Hidden Heiress Returns    The Man Who Came Undone

Hailey's POV The silence filled the room immediately Tyler entered the lounge. It seeped into the restaurant like a living thing, draining sound in its wake. Cutlery paused mid-air, conversations faltered, then died altogether. Even the low hum of music from hidden speakers seemed to recede, as if the room itself sensed an intrusion and instinctively pulled back.I felt it before I saw him.A disturbance in the air.A wrongness. Then Tyler stumbled into view.He moved like a man whose body no longer obeyed him properly—steps uneven, shoulders pitched forward, balance just slightly off. His suit hung loose on his frame, wrinkled and dulled, the fabric smelling faintly of sweat and alcohol even from several feet away. His tie was undone, shoved into a pocket like an afterthought. His hair clung damply to his forehead, strands plastered there as though he’d been running—or spiraling—for hours. This was not the man I had married or once loved. This was what remained of him.I didn’t eve

  • The Hidden Heiress Returns    Controlled Damages

Hailey's POV I didn’t panic. That was the first thing I noticed about myself as I stood in my office, staring at the empty drawer where my future had been carefully dismantled.I closed the drawer without a sound. The empty space where my work had lived stared back at me like a missing tooth—too clean, too deliberate. Whoever had taken the files hadn’t rushed. They had known exactly what they were looking for, exactly where to find it, and exactly how much time they had before anyone noticed.I straightened my spine.Fear would have been easier, panic would have been justified. But neither came. What settled into me instead was colder and far more useful—a precise, almost clinical calm that sharpened my thoughts and slowed my breathing.Janet wanted a reaction and I will make sure she won't get one.I left my office the same way I entered it—measured steps, expression neutral, shoulders relaxed. If the building had eyes, they would have seen nothing out of the ordinary. The employees

  • The Hidden Heiress Returns    Hostile Takeover

Hailey's POV By the time I walked into Norway Group Headquarters the next morning, the building already knew I was coming.Glass doors slid open with a whisper that felt more like a warning than a welcome. My heels struck the marble floor in sharp, deliberate beats, each step echoing through the atrium like a countdown. Heads turned, the ones having conversations faltered and bowed their heads, Phones lowered mid-scroll. The employees didn’t stare openly—they never did—but I felt the weight of their attention all the same but all that wasn't my concern for now.Hailey Norway was back. Not the runaway heiress, not the divorcee. Not the woman whose name had been spoken in hushed tones for two years like a cautionary tale. This time, I was here to stay and shake tables.I didn’t slow down as I crossed the lobby. The security team straightened when they saw me, one of them fumbling slightly as he keyed in access for the executive elevators.“Good morning, Ms. Norway,” he said, a beat too

  • The Hidden Heiress Returns    A Key Too Familiar

Hailey's POV Janet Lut entered the penthouse the way some people entered rooms they had already decided belonged to them. She didn’t hesitate at the threshold. She didn't even wait for permission. The door had barely finished sliding shut behind her before she was already moving forward, heels clicking against the marble with practiced confidence, her posture relaxed in a way that suggested familiarity rather than intrusion.I watched her from the center of the living room, my spine straight, my expression smooth and distant—polished Norway ice.I stayed exactly where I was—center of the living room, shoulders back, chin lifted, spine straight. The posture of a woman who knew her worth and intended to remind everyone else of it.“Kingsley,” she said lightly, lifting a hand as if greeting an old friend at a café rather than stepping into another woman’s home. “You left your watch at my place. I figured it was easier to bring it myself than risk a courier losing something so… valuable.

  • The Hidden Heiress Returns    He Was Always There

Hailey's POV I spun around so fast the room seemed to tilt. The photograph shook in my hand, the edges biting into my palm as if it were trying to remind me it was real. That I hadn’t imagined it, that the handwriting on the back—the promise, the guilt—had been his.“What the hell is wrong with you,” I said, my voice sharp enough to cut. “Did you have a preferred brand of binoculars, or did you just enjoy playing God with my life?”The words came out brittle, wrapped in sarcasm so tight it almost passed for control, almost.Kingsley didn’t flinch. He didn’t even apologize. He didn’t even look ashamed.Instead, he stepped closer. One step, then another. The distance between us vanished, and my back hit the wall of photographs with a soft thud. My own face stared back at me from every angle—laughing, crying, breaking—watching the moment I’d been dreading my entire life.“You think this was about entertainment,” he said quietly. “About voyeurism.”His voice was calm, too calm. The kind

  • The Hidden Heiress Returns    The secret Room

Hailey's POV We didn’t call the police, he didn’t even wait for security.Kingsley drove. Not the careful, controlled man who glided through traffic with bored confidence—but something sharper, darker. His hands were steady on the wheel, knuckles white, eyes locked on the road as he cut through Singapore’s streets with surgical precision. Red lights blurred past us. Horns flared and died behind us. The city bent around his urgency or was forced to.I gripped the door handle without realizing it, my body braced for impact even though none came. The alert echoed in my head.Biometric breach.Level four.Secret room.No one spoke. The silence between us was no longer tense—it was aligned. Whatever lived in that penthouse, whatever someone had tried to reach, was now bigger than contracts, deals, sarcasm, or suspicion. This wasn’t a game anymore. When we reached the underground garage, Kingsley didn’t bother with valet protocols or discretion. He parked hard, engine still running for hal
