Chapter 7

Ash's point of view.

It's crazy how quickly your life can change one minute; I'm a champion fighter, and the next, I'm a pet, kept in a cage and walked on a lead. I shrug, the thought from my mind. The next few days are all about finding out the King's weakness, his army of bloodsuckers and my way around the Palace so that I can plan my next move. I don't need to worry about Stan and the rest of the fighters. My most loyal friends will know where to find me when I plan my escape.

The Queen doesn't speak a word as she leads me into a waiting limo; I know from the look on her face she's not happy treating me this way. I go to sit on one of the seats; Anna yanks the lead shaking her head as her eyes look to the floor.

"Oh, right, I forgot I'm only her pet tonight."

I sink to the floor of the limo as she lets out a sigh of relief before King Areon joins us. He smirks when he sees me sitting on the floor before he says.

"I do hope your Pet is going to behave tonight. I would hate to have to punish it in front of all of those people."

I clench my fist as I will myself to stay quiet, knowing that pretty soon, Karma will be coming to claim the King's ass, and I'll be the one looking down on him.

After a couple of hours of travelling in the limo, we arrive at what I can only describe as a castle; it's enormous. The King gets out of the car, not bothering to help his wife, she slides out next, and I follow behind with my eyes still glued to the floor, like a good little pet.

The night is ridiculous as the lady vampires swarm around to take a look at the queen's new pet; their hands are everywhere! Yes, everywhere! It seems I make a high-grade pet. Some even have the audacity to ask how big my dick is; I mean, what the hell…..it's massive….not that I intend flashing myself to these crazy fuckers.

I can't help but smile, though, as I see Anna blush; she's nothing like these people; she seems so innocent and pure and so out of place in this world.

When the ladies finally leave us alone, I sit at Anna's feet as she finds an empty table; the king hasn't acknowledged her once all night; I watch her as she sits alone drinking, taking note of the other vampires looking our way, pointing and laughing as they look at the lonely Queen.

It's a sad and lonely life that this woman leads. One I vow to taker her away from.

When it's time for Anna to visit the toilet, I'm taken along and tied to a post outside next to a bucket; yeah, you guessed it, that's the pet's toilet. Maybe I should be grateful. At least they don't expect me to piss up the wall. Thank God I'm not a woman, though. I notice Anna's eyes go wide as she sees King Areon pushed up against a wall, his pants around his ankles, as he fucks another vampire against the wall.

Charming…..this guy thinks he can do whatever he wants, I sigh as I whisper to her.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" She shakes her head as she whispers back, "No, if he's with her, then at least he will leave me alone."

Somehow I don't think that's true.

She leads me back into the grand hall; as she takes her seat again, no doubt most of these people have already seen the King with his lady friend in the corridor. Apart from a couple of vampires, Anna is mostly left alone.

I look around the room at these ridiculous people in their ridiculously fancy clothes. A few of them have PETS of their own, some of these are just children, and I wish I could tear them away from this life. I will tear them away from this life; It's not just the King I need to take out; it looks as though it's most of the vampire population. The King finally comes looking for his wife, so drunk that he can barely stand before he takes her hand and he drags her to the car. I can't wait any longer; I know from the look on his face he intends to make his wife suffer tonight, and I can't let that happen; this woman has suffered enough.

Tonight I have a massive advantage. I watch as he almost falls face-first into the car; he finally rights himself before he slumps down into his seat, dragging Anna down next to him.

We set off down the road; I bide my time as I wait for the road to clear before jumping up and placing my hands around his neck.

"What the fuck….."

He yells, but it's too late; he's already unconscious, half through lack of oxygen and half through the amount of alcohol he has consumed tonight. Anna looks at me in shock. I grab her arm as I force the door open, and we both fall to the ground; I pull her on top of me as I take the full force of the fall.

"Ommmffff." 

We land with a thud as the car, and its driver carries on its journey, utterly oblivious to its missing passengers.

Anna jumps to her feet, her hand on her hips as she shouts, "What the hell are you doing? Are you crazy? When he finds us, he is going to kill us both."

I grin before I say. "He's never going to find you again, Anna, and he will never lay a finger on you again."

The tears fall from her face before she whispers. "How can you say that? He will never let me go."

I stand up, brushing the dirt from myself as I say, `"Where we are going, baby, no one will find us, or at least no one that I don't want to."

Fuck I've got to stop calling her baby...

I take her hand in mine as I say.

"He will never touch you again, baby." Shit….I just can't help myself….

She wipes away her tears as she whispers, "Promise."

"Scouts honour," I reply, earning a giggle from her as she shows her human side. I look up to the moon, thankful for many years in the military. Once I have my bearing, we head off into the woods, and we make our way to the safe house.

The House that is hidden deep underground, the house that has taken many years to build, the place that has enough ammunition hidden to wipe out every single bloodsucker that lives and breathes.

All we have to do is get there and wait for my team to arrive, and then I'm taking a vampire King down and his army of bloodsuckers—It's Time for the humans to claim back these lands.

Time to set these Pets and slaves free...
