Ash’s point of view I walk into the Firepit with my hood pulled over my face, trying to stay hidden from the massive crowd. JD is on the door tonight; he lets me into the club with a nod of his head; I keep my head down as I make my way to the back rooms. The place is packed to the rafters, and most of the crowd is hoping to get a glimpse of Killer. "Killer" Yeah, that's me. Although I don't usually go for the kill, I am pretty happy with a KO in the first round, my quickest KO being 3.4 seconds; the name Killer was given to me after one of my early fights ended badly. That night will haunt me for the rest of my days, but you must accept the risks that come with the underground fights. Ash's point of view I search the Firepit, but she is gone, but those eyes still haunt me. As I make my way backstage, Stan is waiting for me; he looks at me as he asks. "You okay, Jax?" "Yeah" Is all I manage to say, my thoughts still consumed by her beautiful face. Stan does not press me for anymore, although he knows that something is troubling me as he places a large glass in front of me. I empty its contents feeling the burn as it hits the back of my throat. Even though I don't have any more fights this week, I spend every night at the Firepit searching through the crowd for her, but she is never there. Maybe it was just my imagination playing tricks on me. No, she was far too beautiful to be my imagination. I have never seen a woman as beautiful as her in my life, but it was her eyes that I was drawn to, they look almost soulless, empty, and lifeless, and for some reason, I find myself wanting to help this beautiful woman. I need to find out who she is and why she was here.

Ash’s point of view. I call a meeting, bringing in every single badass I know, every fighter not only from the Firepit but from every undergoing fighting club around. Along with all my old army buddies from near and far, they all agree with me that this new-age Vampire King, as he likes to call himself, alongside his Queen and his army of bloodsuckers, must be stopped. The Firepit is filled to the brim; as we discuss how to bring the bloodsuckers down, and we all agree after the championships, we will move out and hunt this King down; we only have two weeks to prepare ourselves now, two weeks to make a factory full of pure silver bullets and daggers.I want that King's head on a plate. I want him to pay for each and every life he has taken, every young person's dream he has finished, and for every human he has the audacity to call a pet. Ash's point of view I groan as I try to open my eyes, my head feels like I have been hit by a brick, and my mouth is so dry; where the hell am I? I wonder as I look around. A fucking cage; I'm locked in a cage like an animal. Oh, the irony of it all; I cannot help but laugh as I think of the silver cage I was having built especially for the Queen. Standing up on shaky legs, I'm grateful my cage is at least big enough to stand up in. I check out the lock, but it is locked...; of course, it's locked, and the heavy metal does not move an inch. It makes me wonder what metal they have used, looking around this lavish room. I would guess it being pure gold. This must be the biggest bedroom I have ever seen in my whole life, and it's lavishly decorated in purple and gold drapes. Ash's point of view My heart breaks as I watch her fall asleep, exhausted from the brutal beating that she just received, still lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood. The King looks at me with a sickening grin on his face; I hold his eye, vowing to get my revenge for this beautiful woman who lies broken on the floor. He leaves the room with a laugh, leaving her lying where she is. I watch her as she sleeps, unable to take my eyes off her as I try to figure out what is going on. One thing that I do know. She is not the cruel Queen that we are all led to believe she is, and all I can do for the time being is wait for her to wake up before I can get some answers from her. For the first time in my life, I find myself thankful for vampire healing powers as I watch the welts lesson on her delicate skin...A couple of hours later and I hear her let out a groan before she opens her eyes, I wish I could reach out to her, but she is too far away from me. Ash's point of view. I've spent the whole afternoon talking to Queen Anna, and the more she tells me, the harder my heart breaks for her; she has no life living with the King; he took her away from her family, her home, from everyone she loved, she has a few friends in the palace staff that she can trust, but she's lonely and scared, and she wears her heart in her sleeve. She jumps when a bell sounds in the palace, and I look up as I ask. "What the hell is that?" She lowers her head and whispers. "The King is back." Before she runs to slip on her shoes as she says. "I have to go; he expects everyone to greet him when he comes home." And with that, she's gone to stand in line and greet her husband along with the rest of the palace staff; she's just as much a slave to him as I am. I clench my fists in anger; this whole situation is so fucked up that it makes my blood boil. Ash's point of view.It's crazy how quickly your life can change one minute; I'm a champion fighter, and the next, I'm a pet, kept in a cage and walked on a lead. I shrug, the thought from my mind. The next few days are all about finding out the King's weakness, his army of bloodsuckers and my way around the Palace so that I can plan my next move. I don't need to worry about Stan and the rest of the fighters. Ash's point of view I look at Anna as she smiles; damn, she is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life; this is the first time that I have seen her smile, and it's beautiful.
