LOGINLARA'S POV
As I froze, Jenna was cheering loudly and happily, shouting m 'Luther, Luther' But my mind was in chaos.
Why did a new year have to he like this?
Jessy who dragged me here prattled on about Luther, “His body is just so perfect,” she said. “All of those muscles just make me wanna bite him!”
I hated to admit it, but hearing Jessica talk about him made the memories of last night come flooding back; his muscular body, the way he touched and kissed me, how he felt inside of me… It made my body tingle.
I tried to shake the thoughts out of my mind trying it to remember again. The feeling of Enzo’s strong eyes on me as we laid in bed together, our limbs intertwined, was burned into my memory.
I only hoped that I could leave this game without being seen by him or else I'll just.... damn!
Jenna shook me, "Lara!" She called and I snapped out of my trance, and clapped, even though the game looks nothing interesting to me.
My eyes was only on him — Luther! What if he tells the whole class that I've slept with him? What if he becomes friends with Reis? Then I'll be in a fresh drama.
Looking around the rink with mostly students who were huge fans of Reis gathered, my eyes found their way to Reis who was engaged in a conversation with his girl, who was wearing cheerleading dress.
It breaks my heart, as I realized that he have alot of reasons to chose her over me. She seems to be a cheerleader and he was a hockey team captain, so who am I.
They both looked like they were in a heated conversation until the angrily left the rink, making me wonder what it was about.
The game started and the cheerios cheered on while the boys trained. Jenna was on fire, yelling this and that.
As Luther finally won a goal, Jenna thew a water bottle at him, making him look my way. I froze on the spot, his eyes and mine locked for a while until the whistle sounded.
I don't know why the game suddenly look interesting to me now that Luther looked at me. I
With every goal he scored, Lucas’ eyes always found its way back to mine, in a smirk. It was getting heated with every second and it felt like people were beginning to notice; something I wasn't ready for.
“You alright?” Cassy asked on seeing my discomfort. I nodded, grateful that she hasn't noticed the wink between Luther and I or how will I face her?
“Yeah… just a slight headache from all the noice" I said and Cassy stared at me sadly as if he knew I was going to leave after this, “I think I'll just go take a nap.” She nodded and I made my way out.
Stepping out, I sighed a sigh of relief.
The looks Lucas was giving me were just… off. Too possessive. Too lustful. Too hungry. And strangely, even though my mind warned me to stay clear, I still somewhat liked it and I hated myself for it because it's going to ruin me.
I was just a normal student with nerdy vibes and I just became the most popular in school due to some photoshopped photo. If this gets out that I slept with this new student too, then my life will really come to an end.
So, no, I didn't want that.
I walked down the corridor that led to the exit but suddenly, Reis's girl and her other girls came out of nowhere, blocking me.
“What do you want?” I asked, already irritated by this as since I'm no longer the hide and outcast need, I'm expecting this much.
“I came to see what good guys lying you, outcast stupid nerd,” she dropped.
My eyes twitched, and I scoffed for a while, trying to gasp in her question, "Excuse you?"
She walks up to me in circles, carrying herself in a hair of might and arrogance, "You heard me right, Lara Madison, I came to check what good guys like Reis and the new student, Luther sees in you"
I gulped hard and fast and damn! It's not easy. I've already put myself in this shit and definitely no coming out. I adjusted my bag and trying walking out of the premade circle but another girl pushed me back, and I fell to the ground. The cheerleader crouched to my level and grabbed my jaws, "You definitely look good upclose, but I don't want to believe that's what captivated Reis"
My chest thumped. She'd know I was dating Reis in the past, now the whole school is going to know about it!
I breath fastidiously, praying I get out of this mess really soon. My phone beeped from my pocket and just as I was about to take it, she slapped my hand away.
She looked at it with glee, "Oh... It's your Dad. I wonder what he'll think after hearing that his darling daughter is the school new nerdy slut?"
I tried snapping it away from her, Dad's calling means he was worried that I'm not at home yet. "Give me back my phone!"
"You have to tell me first!!!" She suddenly scream, still holding the phone away, "Tell me what it is, that you have and I don't? Tell me why the new student is looking at you that way and why Reis keep calling you!!"
I gulped hard, this witch is really getting on my nerves and I'm not liking it one bit. Painfully, I let it all out, "Yes you're right. Reis and I were dating all these while because we attend thesame middle school. And..."
"Wait." She raised her hand. "You went to thesame middle school as Reis Armani my boyfriend? And he didn't tell me about it?"
I sighed. So Reis kept his middle school a secret too? "Now give me the phone since I've answered your questions" I demanded again.
She scoffed, "Don't get your hopes too high. I'm telling you dad right now, that you're a bitch!"
No. Dad must not hear that I have problems with school.
I tried grabbing it from her again but this time, someone else collected it from her, from behind. She gasped, we all look back and he was again!
My doom and damnation!!
POV: LaraWe left the outpost before the sun climbed fully above the trees. The forest glistened with dew, quiet in that breathless way the world holds just before it wakes. Each step away from the tower felt heavier, as though it resisted letting us go. I glanced back once—the stone walls were already half-swallowed by mist.Eren moved ahead of me, his stride sure and measured. He had tied the river stone to my cloak’s clasp, where it rested against the Seal. Together, the two hummed softly, their vibrations matching the rhythm of my heartbeat. I could feel the energy threading through the air like a quiet song.“Where exactly are we going?” I asked as we followed a narrow trail north.“To the ridge,&rdqu
POV: LaraWhen I woke, the fire had burned down to embers. Pale dawn light filtered through the vines at the cave mouth, painting soft lines across the floor. Eren sat at the entrance, his back straight, eyes fixed on the forest beyond. He hadn’t slept. Somehow, I wasn’t surprised.“How long was I out?” I asked.“Long enough for the rain to stop,” he said without turning. “The river will be swollen. We’ll move while the pack is still searching the lower ridges.”I stretched stiff limbs and pulled the damp cloak tighter around me. The ache in my body felt deeper than fatigue—it was the pull of the Seal, restless even in quiet. Its faint glow brushed my throat,
POV: LaraThe outpost smelled of dust and memory. The stone walls were streaked with moss, the ceiling patched by roots that had forced their way through cracks in the roof. Yet a faint warmth lingered in the air, as if the place still remembered the hands that once built it.Eren found an old lamp and coaxed a flame to life. Its glow chased the shadows into corners, revealing shelves lined with decayed maps, broken weapons, and the ghosts of another time. “This was one of the border stations,” he said. “Your father used it when he patrolled the northern woods.”I ran my fingers over a weathered table. The wood was carved with initials—some deep, others nearly erased. One mark caught the light: A + M. I traced it slowly, my chest tightenin
POV : LaraRain blurred the forest into streaks of silver and shadow. Every branch clawed at my cloak, every root tried to drag me down. My breath came in short bursts, loud against the roar of the storm. Behind me, the horns still wailed and the sound of pursuit.I forced myself forward, splashing through puddles, slipping over moss-slick stones. The Seal’s faint light glimmered through the wet fabric at my throat, guiding me like a living star. Each pulse reminded me that I was alive, but hunted.Lightning ripped open the sky, showing the ridge in the distance—a black line against the pale horizon. I had to reach it before dawn. Reis had said the river lay beyond; safety waited there, if safety even existed anymore.
POV: LaraThe sanctum was built for silence. Every sound—my breath, the scrape of my palms on the floor, even the whisper of cloth—came back to me hollow and small. The walls drank light. Only the faint shimmer of the Seal broke the dark, moving across my skin like liquid silver.Hours bled together. I counted them by the rhythm of my heartbeat, by the drip of water somewhere beyond the door. Each drop sounded like a reminder that the world outside still lived while I sat buried under stone. At first I tried to speak to the guards through the slot in the door. No one answered. Later, I stopped trying. My voice echoed back at me, thin and lonely. When exhaustion finally dragged me down, I dreamed of fire again.&n
POV: LaraMorning arrived with no warmth. A fog settled over the settlement, thick enough that the sun looked like a pale coin behind the clouds. From my window I could see movement in the square—wolves whispering in clusters, their glances darting toward the house where Luther and I were confined.A guard knocked once before opening the door. “The Council summons you,” he said. His voice carried no malice, only fatigue. No one wanted to be the one to touch the girl who glowed.Luther stood at my side as we walked to the hall. He didn’t speak. His silence said enough.Inside, the Council chamber felt smaller than it had yesterday. The Elders sat in a tight semicircle, their faces drawn. Elder M
