Chapter 8: Her New identity

Manya came to meet her father as soon as she could. The house she lived in for twenty-five years felt different to her in a single day. Everything in her life changed in just one day. "I married him, Dad."

Niam Sehgal stared into her daughter's eyes without blinking. He was trying to find out why his daughter married that low-class goon. "Why?" He asked when he couldn't find the answer to his question in her eyes.

Manya chuckled. "Why else but to punish myself, Dad. I promised myself that I will never fall in love but I broke my promise. I broke my promise and made the same mistake Mom made thirty years ago. And just like her, I suffered."

Niam Sehgal's eyes turned cold. "Manya!" He snapped at his daughter for the first time in his life. "Look who you are talking to!"

Manya closed her eyes for a moment and let out a long sigh then She opened her eyes again and looked at her father. "I never wanted to live a humiliating life like Mom, Dad. When I went into a relationship with Neel, I
