Chapter 7 Their first argument

Manya peeled her eyes open as the non-stop ringing of her phone made it impossible for her to sleep. She blinked a few times to recognize her surroundings but couldn't. Her head was bouncing like a rubber ball in pain and the ringing of her cell was only increasing her misery. Taking a deep breath, she took her phone and sat in the bed before accepting the call.

Manya hissed in pain when her brother's sharp voice smacked through her ears. "Don't raise your voice at me, Anav." She ordered him in a firm tone as she massaged her temple with her fingers to soothe away the pain but it only increased when she spoke.

"Manya! You lost the right to order me after what you did. Dad has locked himself in his study. Our phones are ringing constantly, people are asking us questions. "
