Episode 5

Oliver kept staring even though Nate has gone already, she bit her bottom lip and smiled

“Love at first sight” She muttered

The cashier observed her earlier and saw how she was admiring the guy whom just left

“You like him?” She asked getting Oliver’s attention

She turned to face her

“What did you mean?” She asked

“I mean you like the guy who just left here?, The one you paid for his goods” She smiled

“How does that become your problem? Are you here to receive payment or to intrude into people’s privacy?” Oliver asked with a glare

“I’m sorry”

“Nonsense” She said and walked to clothe section

“Nate, cute name” She said

Nate sighed tiredly sitting on the couch in the living room, Claire sat beside him

She looked at him for long

“What?” He arched his brows

“You are okay right?” She asked

“A bit more better” He replied

“The lady at the store” Claire said

“Yeah, she is so nice and kind hearted “ Nate said

“It’s so hard to get people like her this days “ Claire said

“You’re right “ He said

“Bestie “ Nate suddenly called

“Yes “

“Our graduation party is in two days time “ Nate said

“Wow! “ Claire exclaimed happily

“ I can’t wait for that day” She added

TWO DAYS LATER**

The long awaited day came for Nate, the day he would finally say goodbye to college

The bathroom door gave way and he walked out

He stood in the front of the mirror and look at his face

He started brushing his hair and styling it, he rubbed the cream and walked to where he kept the new clothes he bought or should he say the clothes the strange lady paid for

He took out a fashionable Louis Vuitton shirt and a Jean trouser

He dressed in a simple way but he is looking so hot and cute

He sighed before moving to the living room

“You’re done?” Claire asked

“Yeah, I am about to go now” Nate replied

“You’re looking so cute “ She said

“Thanks, you are coming right?” Nate asked

“You know the answer already, I can’t miss your graduation for anything” Claire replied

He dashed and headed to school

GRADUATION GROUND**

The college campus is filled with students moving around, gisting, chatting and having fun already

Decorations were going on, fireworks were being display, a big board that has a writing HAPPY GRADUATION was mounted for everyone to see

The students whom already came early were wearing the graduation gown with a cap on their heads

Nate got to school and came out of the taxi paying the driver before moving into to the college, he was welcomed with the beautiful fireworks

Nate marvelled at the way the whole place was sparkling and glistening, it was so beautiful

“Hey Nate you are here” Ethan said walking over to him

“Bro” Nate smiled

Ethan hugged him slightly

“Bro you are late” Andrew said

“What ever it’s our graduation party anyway, wait did you collect my gown for me?” He asked

“No, the VC said everyone must get it directly from the Dean of academics” Ethan replied

Andrew smiled

“I will be back” Nate said and made to rushed to the Dean’s office but Andrew pulled him back

“What?” He asked

“Ethanol is pulling your legs, he actually collected it on your behalf” He said

“Ethanol!!” Ethan gasped

“Ethanol,” Nate started laughing at Ethan, Andrew too joined

“Guy stop it” Ethan said glaring at both of them

“Where’s the gown?” Nate asked

“In my locker room” He replied and gave him his password

“Thanks, I am coming” Nate said and left

Ethan smacked Andrew on the head and started leaving

“Wait for me Ethanolamine” He shouted after him

Nate wore the gown and came out meeting Andrew and Ethan, they are waiting for him

“ I am done guys let’s go, when will the occasion start” Nate asked

“Very soon right android?” Ethan asked smirking mischievously

“ I will die of laughing today” Nate said

Ethan phone beeped and he took it out

“My dad is here” He said and pulled the guys away with him

Andrew parents arrived and he went to welcome them

“You are still standing here?, Where’s your dad Nate?” Cynthia asked behind him

He turned

“Cynthia, he is coming” He lied

“Okay see you later” She said and left

Nate face dropped immediately, he kept watching as the students kept welcoming their parents or relatives but him who would come for his graduation? No one, his dad now hates him

“ Come and greet my parents” Andrew said dragging him away immediately

COLLEGE HALL**

The occasion formally started, the students were sitting on one side and their parents and invitees on another side

At the high table seated the college administrators, lecturers and other members

The VC walked in and all the students stood to acknowledge his presence

He smiled as he climbed the podium and faced everyone

“Good morning everyone present here in this hall as we celebrate our great students who are graduating, we saw their journey since they started from year to this last point, we are greatly to say happy graduation to them all”

The students started clapping and screaming joyously

“They have always being the best students and for this the college got some awards for the best students after then you will all move to the graduation party hall”

The students screamed again

“I appreciate the parents and relatives, guardians and friends for visiting this ceremony, I and the whole administration welcome you, thank you all” The VC said and walked down the podium

A woman climbed the podium and started addressing the students

“Good day parents, relatives and the students, I am the HOD of the college, I stand here to present some awards to students who have outstanding performance through out their years of learning, so I start”

“The best graduating we have Nate…” The screams made her not to complete his name

Nate went to podium and collected the award of the best graduating student

After some minutes the award were given to the best students and it was time for the party

Everyone started moving to the party hall

Claire walked to Nate and hugged him “Congratulations” She said

“Thanks” He said

“I am proud of you, your dad’s not here right?” She asked

He nodded sadly

“I am sorry, don’t let that spoil this day for you” She said

They made to go to the Party hall when Nate heard his name being called by someone

He turned around to see his stepmother, she walked over to him

“Sorry I came late” She said but he kept looking at her without saying a word
