The tavern lady then apologized for being too chatty, laughing softly as she turned and went back to work. 

I gave Ether, Shila, and Garix a look, which fortunately they had understood immediately. After paying our bill, we exited the tavern and headed straight to the boatmen.

It was far important and such a big news to everyone, but in the human world, the Uncrescent Land, stories of the mysterious serpent in the river was far greater to talk about.

I felt Shila's hand on my shoulder, a concerned and comforting gaze on her face. I sighed, hiding my emotions as I smiled.
