CHAPTER TWELVE.

An alarm blared into the ears of Evan and he stood up from where he sat watching the television. It was an alarm that rang every day. His call alarm to get up and carry out his secret research.

He went straight into the small laboratory he had set up in one of the rooms in his house. Of course, no one knew he had such a thing in his home and he was determined to keep it that way. No one should ever find out his secret.

Which was what had made him remain at home for the past three nights. He couldn't believe that someone had tailed him when he had gone to treat the little boy. If not for the fact that he could mask his aura, he was sure that the man would have found out that the scent he had followed belonged to the man who had bumped into him.

He sighed as he pushed the tiny door open. All he had to do was just to be more careful than he already was, otherwise, his secret would be out and he would be the target of many cruel forces he knew existed.

    Scott's mansion stood in stoic silence, the air heavy with tension. He paced back and forth in the grand living room, his frustration was evident on his face. Memories of the recent events swirled in his mind, igniting the sparks of his anger. Despite Alfred's attempts to console him, Scott couldn't shake the feeling off. Alfred watched Scott, concern etched on his face. "You need to calm down, Scott," Alfred advised, his voice gentle yet firm. "Alijah is safe, hopefully and why are you worried about what she said anyway." Scott shot Alfred a look, his eyes burning with frustration. "She told me to leave her apartment, Alfred. After everything that's happened, she still doesn't get it. I just wanted to protect her," Scott retorted, his voice tinged with resentment. "I understand, but getting worked up won't solve anything. Let's focus on finding a way to keep her safe from this distance" he suggested, trying to reason with Scott. Scott let out a frustrated breath, running a hand

    The return to the vampire village was filled with tension. Scott's frustration was visible, evident in the shape of his brow and the tightness of his hands. As they arrived, his anger came to a head. Their bodies were covered in blood, sweat and dirt. No one was around when they came, Renee was still out gathering people to help with the rescue not knowing that they were already back. "Let's go in and get a shower at least. Then we need to get something for Alijah to eat." Alfred said and they all went ahead, walking into the tower. Alijah scrunched by the sight of the opulence she saw before her eyes. Before any other thing could happen, Scott anger took charge. "You should have been more careful, Alijah. This never should have happened," Scott scolded, his voice was filled with so much anger. Alijah's heart sank as she met Scott's gaze, guilt washing over her. "I'm sorry, Scott. I didn't mean for any of this to happen," she replied, her voice filled with regret. "I was just o

    Alfred's muscles tensed as he faced off against Victor, his eyes narrowing as he prepared for the battle ahead. "I will ask you one more time, Where is Scott?" he demanded, his voice firm as he kept a wary eye on Victor's movements. Victor smirked, a glint of malice in his eyes. "You'll find out soon enough, and you will join him in his misery." he taunted, his voice dripping with menace. "I don't know who you're talking about but Scott never faces misery, if you keep talking smack about my best friend, you won't have the ability to talk soon enough. " Alfred warned him. "You make me laugh, your master is presently chained up and probably getting the beating that be deserves. " Victor laughed as he talked. Without another word, Alfred lunged forward, his movements swift and precise. The two vampires clashed, their blows echoing through the chamber as they fought with all their strength.     two. Scott and Renee decided to go back to their town, hoping to some news from over there, while Alfred decided to wait behind. The letter reached Alfred through an unconventional way, the vampire that delivered the letter thought he was Scott and he decided to attack him, ending things once and for all. Unfortunately for him, Alfred was not in a good mood, so the delivery vampire got killed. "What do we have here?" Alfred checked the vampire's coat and finds the letter. "Scott needs to see this." He teleported immediately. Alfred arrived at the mansion, the letter clenched tightly in his hand. As he entered the room where Scott was, he found him pacing back and forth, his expression etched with concern and frustration. "Scott, I have something important to show you," Alfred said, his voice grave as he handed the letter to Scott. Scott's eyes scanned the letter quickly, his brow furrowing with concentration. The information of the message was clear, and it didn't take long for

    They both get to the apartment, Timothy and Renee, after the encounter with the guy that tried to attack her. They had barely settled in when Renee started to talk. Renee's heart was heavy with pain as she poured out the details of recent events to Timothy. She recounted the fear, anger and resentment that had gripped her since Alijah's disappearance, the relentless worry that strained at her every waking moment. "I just don't know what to do," she admitted, her voice trembling with emotion. "I feel so helpless, like there's nothing I can do to make things right." Timothy listened intently, his expression filled with sympathy and understanding. He knew that Renee was struggling, her effort to cope with feelings of fear and frustration as she faced an uncertain future. "I wish there was something I could do to help," he said softly, his voice gentle and reassuring. "But you know that I can't get involved in this. It's too dangerous. Your brother might kill me." Renee nodded, her

    The minutes stretched into hours as Scott paced restlessly in Alijah's apartment, his mind swirling with thoughts of Alijah and the danger she might be facing. He couldn't shake the feeling of unease that gnawed at him, urgency struck through him, like it had been gnawing him ever since. Renee sat at the corner of the room, eating the left over food that Alijah made. She shouldn't eat that but she was doing that. Alfred worked tirelessly at his side, his fingers flying over the keyboard as he sifted through data and scanned surveillance footage in a desperate bid to pinpoint Alijah's location. But despite their best efforts, they still came up empty-handed, no closer to finding her than they had been before. Scott's frustration simmered beneath the surface as he watched Alfred work, his jaw clenched tight with tension. He had to find her, had to bring her back to safety, no matter what it took.
