Chapter 23

PAUL’S POV

There was only five minutes left when I saw Harvey’s wolf Echo coming from the woods. He gave me a quick nod before going behind a nearby pine tree to shift.

Once Harvey had shifted back to human form he came out from behind the tree. No wonder he wanted me to bring wipes to clean himself up. My Alpha looked like shit. His body was covered in dirt and blood. I even noticed a small cut on his cheek.

“What did you do to end up like that?”

Harvey shook his head while trying to brush deer guts out of his hair with water and a comb.”I wasn’t thinking too logically last night. I let Echo take over for the most part and he can be savage. Hygiene and aesthetics weren’t on our mind at all.”

“ Make’s sense. Are you ready for the meeting? It should have already begun.”

Harvey had just thrown on his jacket before nodding his assent. We walked through the doors to the castle and quickly made our way to the parliamentary room.
