“You know what baffles me?” Stone’s voice startled her to the point that she almost spilled the coffee in hand.

“Do tell.” She fought to remove the sarcasm from her voice, but she had no luck. 

“How is it that you made it out of the prison without anyone noticing?” Stone’s large arms were crossed over his chest and his narrowed eyes set on her, watching her every move like a hawk.
