Chapter 49

Alex swallowed his breath, his body becoming hot all over again. His breath ragged, and a feeling of blood running down part north made him hard.

He clenched his jaw, denying what his body made him feel, and focused on Vanessa again. He doesn't know what his wife said to his ex, but Vanessa's face told him that whatever that was, it sure was not a joke.

Regan left and made her way inside the house. Roman followed suit but just to go to his car. He turns toward Alex, indicating calling him a letter, and jumps in.

He reversed and drove down the same path Alex came.

Now only Vanessa and he were left, but his heart did not acknowledge her presence. She pulled on his arm, and he followed her wherever she kept leading him.
