Chapter 50 - Just Trust Me

Gerthel felt her heartbeats falter while she responded to his embrace. “Are you still mad at me?” she asked softly as she tilted her head up to look at him.

Instead of answering, he gave her a kiss, a punishing one. It was aggressive and deep. They were both panting for breath when he release her lips.

“Does it look like I am still mad, Gerthel?” he asked with eyes squinched. In one second he swiftly lifted her by her waist and put her down on the bed, followed by his body on top of her.

“I am still feeling weak and tired,” she murmured yet her arms were already enclosing his neck.

“So am I. It is tiring to fly that far you know,” he said in his husky voice but Gerthel’s eyes went wide when he heard what he said. She pushed him suddenly while looking at him with her still wide eyes.
