While the police debated his guilt, the Lycan in question couldn't have cared less. Armed with a bounty of food, Drex vaulted over the balcony and into Lea's apartment.

“Lea! Where are you?” he called out. When he got no response, his voice turned intimate. “Baby? Where are you hiding?”

A hand waved from behind the curtain. Grinning, thinking Lea was playing a game, Drex rushed over.

"Found you, ba—" Drex froze. It wasn't Lea. It was Rebecca.
