Sasha

“I see our Luna is finally back on her feet,” Alaric whispers behind, startling me as I place a hand on my chest, turning to face him. A smile on his lips, my eyes trail up to his eyes, and they hold my gaze for longer than I would like to.

“It seems so.” I shift on my heel, staring out at the yard. My hands were in the pockets of my coat. I feel more at peace, and there’s calmness around me; it envelopes me like a second skin.

“That’s good to hear.” He murmurs, then clears his throat. I can’t help but steal glances at him; he has a stubble beard with a straight face and a perfectly chiseled jawline.

I shake my head. This is my husband’s friend. I shouldn’t even be staring at him like this yet; every second he is not looking at me, I find myself stealing a glance at him. There’s something about him that brings calmness and a sense of safety whenever I see him.

“Are you in town for long?” I finally managed to ask him, trying to shake off the weird flutters in my stomac

It’s interesting that Alaric things he stands a chance of stealing her away from Cassian because of a potential “mate bond” Cassian’s too possessive to let her go even if she somehow feels the bond with Alaric. I wonder if he’s going to fight for the bond or reject her to keep peace with Cassian.

  • The Imperfect Luna   We Are Done

Cassian“I have everything ready for you. I also ordered the oil you like. Once you are done with—” Ravenna tries to distract me, her hands all over my body, but all I feel are icy hands trying too much. She knows we don’t have that kind of relationship anymore. “Stop.” I grabbed her wrist before she could touch my face. My eyes are trained on Sasha, who is being hugged by Alaric.“Cassian. I am—”“I told you. I don’t need you doing shit for me,” I growled, pushing her off me, then turning to Martin, with a look that says, ‘Take care of this.’But when I look back at Sasha, Alaric is fucking kissing what’s mine. His lips are on hers, and I see red. He can’t possibly be with her. And she let him.“You know the way you are looking at them. I feel like we might be seeing a corpse soon,” Lucius whispers, coming to stand closer to me. My hands curl into fists; I want to rip him off her and rip off his hands for touching her.She is mine. Mine alone.I try to take a step towards them, but L

  • The Imperfect Luna   Caught Unaware

SashaI waited. Waited for him to say something, but he just sighed. “How many people know this?” His voice dropped, eyes darting around us. I could hear the footsteps approaching and picked up the scent of his men.“You and me. And your wolf, it seems.” He pulled off his shirt. “Let’s keep it like that,” he says to me, closing the gap between us. “Hands,” he demands as he drapes the t-shirt over my head. I look up at him.“Cassian,” I whisper, my eyes roaming all over his face. He has gone into protective mode, helping me with his shirt.“No one is seeing what’s mine,” he grounds out. My breath hitches, feeling butterfly flutters in my stomach and heart pounding so hard.“I’m not yours,” I protest, walking closer to him, but he ignores me, and then he begins checking on the wolf. He pulls it to his nose, then lets go. “He is an omega. Probably saving under a household,” he explains.“Why didn’t you shift? You could have—” I can’t even bring myself to say what that vampire would have

  • The Imperfect Luna   My Mate's Wolf

Sasha“Why are you still up?” Alaric asked, coming closer to where I was pacing back and forth. My father was taken to the hospital, but it’s not anywhere near the compound. It’s also been an hour since Cassian was gone, and I can’t help but feel something is wrong.“You didn’t go?” I raise an eyebrow, and he sighs heavily, shaking his head. “No. I didn’t. I have to make sure I stay here.” He explains, coming closer. I narrow my eyes, wondering why an alpha would need to stay back, but then he adds. “Protocol”I pull on my cardigan, staring up at the moon. “Something feels wrong,” I explain, my eyes roaming around the sky. The moon shines brightly, and it’s a warm evening, but I feel uneasy.“He will be fine,” he says, and I glance over my shoulder to look at him. I don’t understand what he means. His lips quirk up, and he strides towards me, then stands by my side. “Cassian, I mean”“I’m not... He is…” I stuttered, and he chuckled, sliding his hands in his pockets. There’s an awkward

  • The Imperfect Luna   A New Foe

CassianAs we strode out of the castle, I turned to Xavier, my voice low and urgent. “What the hell happened? What was Alpha Thorne doing at the Garden View?” I asked, my eyes narrowing with intensity. I knew my men were capable, but after what happened ten years ago, I was taking no chances—I was getting involved and getting answers.“Your Grace!” Alpha Harry’s voice was an unwelcome interruption, his footsteps pounding the ground as he rushed towards me. I let out a tired sigh. I didn’t have time for this—not now, not when I had a dozen other pressing matters demanding my attention.“You’re going into the city?” Alpha Harry’s voice was laced with disbelief, and I raised an eyebrow, daring him to say more.“My city was just attacked, and you expect me to stay here and wait?” My voice was low and tight with frustration and anger.Alpha Harry closed the distance between us, his eyes darting around the hallway before settling on me. “You don’t need to get involved,” he said, his voice f

  • The Imperfect Luna   Lies By My Mate

Sasha“What did you do?” I asked him, my voice cracking and eyes shimmering with tears. I gasped, taking a step back. This can’t happen right now.“Leave us!” He ordered, and everyone scurried away except Alaric, who was standing next to me.“And you, Alaric,” he adds, but Alaric steps forward, trying to shield me from Cassian. However, my heart is racing so fast that it feels like my entire world has just tilted out of control.“I’m not going anywhere,” He declares, but Cassian strides towards us, his eyes darkening.I placed my hand on Alaric’s shoulder. “I’m fine. Please leave us,” my voice comes out like a whisper, barely audible over my heartbeat.“Sash”“I’m fine, Alaric,” I insist. He takes his time, his eyes roaming around my face, searching. I give him an assuring smile before shifting my attention to Cassian.“I will be close in case you need me,” he says to me, then walks past Cassian, whose eyes are trained on me, expecting me to look at Alaric.“Can we talk in my room?” He

  • The Imperfect Luna   Were you even his Mate?

SashaMy heart is pounding hard against my chest. I didn’t think I would see her at the castle. I thought Cassian would have asked her to leave, but I was wrong. She is still here.“Were you really his luna?” She asked, her words hanging in the air like a challenge, laced with a hint of curiosity and mockery.“I don’t know what you want, Ravenna, but one thing I am certain of is that I have no business with you.” I picked up my book and turned towards the closet, my movements swift and deliberate. What if she saw what I was researching? My heart sank at the thought, my hands trembling slightly as I gathered my books. I didn’t want her to see the pages I was reading.‘Let me tear out her eyes,’ Rory sneered, her eyes darkening to an almost feral intensity, like a predator sensing prey.“But you see, Sasha, I have some business with you.”I froze, my heart racing as she snatched the book from me. I slowly turned to face her, meeting her angry gaze.“Look at me when I’m talking to you!”
