Kate POV

Time seems to stop for no one. Belle is growing so fast. She is a month old today. Erick is the best father to her and helps me with her so much. I knew he would be after the way I watch him care for Austin. He never told me what happened when he went to look for Alexander and Macon. That thought of my father, even though we are not close, being out there somewhere hurts my soul. I want to find him. I want him to meet baby Belle and know her.

Nothing that happened in the past was anyone's fault, not even his. The past is the past, and I choose to leave it there. I will never step on the spiritual plane again or try to mind-link with the wolves. I still feel a deep connection to nature, just like all imperial wolves, but I try to keep my knowledge and source of power to a minimum.
