4. The kiss.

Caesar's POV

I had to blink severally for my eyes to believe what I was seeing in front of me. The moment I entered Cherry's room to see the so called friend she forced me into greeting, everything stopped working, except for my eyes which kept magnifying themselves.

At first I was mesmerized by her chocolate hair that fell freely on her back, her glistening smooth skin and long legs with an averagely protruding butt.

As if that wasn't enough, she surprised me more with her innocence, Cherry must have lied to me when she told me she was twenty, who in her whole twenty years doesn't know what squirting is? She was too innocent even in her soft voice.

There was more when she looked up, how can someone be that beautiful and innocent all at once? She was a definition of beautiful to me. But what stood out, was her clear brown eyes with no emotions reading.

Her voice was like a caress to me and for the first time I felt like I could talk forever not minding a fucking second wastage of time. Don't mind me, am good at managing time so I wouldn't have minded talking with marvellous for as long as it could have took us.

But everything stopped for the second time when her emotions started resurfacing, her clear brown eyes that read no emotions earlier were turning red so quickly, she was sweating, her breath become laboured and her hands were in fist balls scrunching the sheets at her sides as she pressed her fists down into the mattress.

What was the matter? I got worried and so was Cherry from the look on her face.

"I... I'm.. o.. ok... Okay." She finally stuttered out the words after I asked if she was okay. But she wasn't, tears were welling up in her eyes and all I wanted is to take her into my arms and comfort her till what she was feeling ebbed away, but I couldn't, I had just met the girl.

"Chloe ting, I know you're not okay." Cherry got into the bed and hugged her close.

Her whole body was vibrating. She was sobbing! Shit. Why?

"Shhhh... Hush now ting." Cherry kept hushing her down as I stood there watching the scene unfold.

"I miss them." She whispered in between her cries and tightened her arms around Cherry's back.

Miss who? I worried out loud.

"You know what, your mum and dad are watching you over from heaven. They're your angels. I know that because my parents are also watching us." Cherry comforted, whispering into her hair as she kept patting her back slowly.

That was my undoing! She lost her parents? At what age? I couldn't stand seeing her sob that long, I turned slowly and left the room, closing the door behind me.

As I walked into my room, thoughts kept flooding my mind. She looked good, but there's more into her empty look. Her eyes held no that warm inviting glow. She looked like someone who life had taught a lesson, someone who had gone through hell if I may say. She chose her words, she calculated words before talking. She could laugh but it wasn't from the heart.

Who was this mysterious girl?

Suddenly I wanted to know more about her. I wanted to know what she's been through.

As I stood under the shower, literally doing nothing but letting the warm water relax my tensed muscles, my mind wandered back to the marvellous Chloe. I had decided to call her, marvellous Chloe because it sounded much sweeter that way.

I had dried up and dressed when I heard a light knock at my door.

"It's open." I shouted and in entered Cherry really smiling.

" I saw you earlier." She started.

"Saw what." I growled making her chuckle. She was this stubborn type of a kid who got excited when I'm mad. She was kinda weird in some way but I never loved her any less. She was the only family I had.

"Ogling Chloe." She giggled again.

"What?" I gasped. "Wake up you stubborn bee."

"Wake me up if you only want a sting dear brother." She dragged the words dramatically, sitting down on a sofa facing my bed, she was now wriggling her eyes playfully.

" She's the last thing I will look at my dear sister." I dragged the words too putting an emphasis to every word coming out of my mouth. Lie, I sat on the bed, waiting for her next bombard.

"I know right." She rolled her eyes. " Just one thing you should know, she's too young and she can't be one of your many night stands."

" Cherry! " I shouted picking on a candle that was on my table and threw it at her but she missed it, she was a chuckle mess.

"I know you don't do dating. Mesh told me that." She rolled her eyes again.

Mesh was my best friend and he could visit us sometimes. He was already married with a one year old boy. I was not exactly twenty eight as my g****e biography said, I was turning twenty eight in three months time, so I could say I was twenty seven. But mesh kept reminding me of how old I was getting, how I should get myself a wife. I wasn't ready and I had never met any girl who could pull a string from my heart before.

I know I didn't do the dating stuff, I was more of a one nightstand guy. I've never brought any lady into my house, and I swore that, it will never happen. But I fucking hated mesh for telling Cherry all those details.

"So I wonder where your problem lies."

"It chokes me." She retorted.

My eyes widened. " What chokes you?"

" The fact that you don't want me to have a sister-in-law." She faked a pout and I felt like laughing.

" Oh that!" Finally I started laughing.

"It's not funny Caesar!" She exclaimed.

"What's funny then?" I stopped to look at her.

"The fact that I'll get you a brother-in-law sooner than you'll ever think of."

And that, that hit deep down the unreachable nerves.

"You'll have to get through all your studies first. No boyfriend until you graduate."

Her eyes grew misty.

" Till I graduate? Do you even here yourself ?" Her lips were trembling.

"Do you want to make me mad again? Must we argue about this everyday?"

" You're not fair Caesar. You're always hard on me. You don't always want me to live my life like any normal girl!" She almost yelled.

" Which life have I ever denied you Cherry? I let you go out like any normal girl, I give you everything you want. Having a boyfriend? Just that? Is that really the definition of not always wanting you to live a normal life like any normal girl?" My anger was boiling and I was on the edge.

" I'm sorry." She stood up quickly and left the room drying her eyes on the process of stomping of out.

I'll never understand girls. I shook my head and that's when I heard an incoming call from my phone. Office call! Oh shit!!

***

It was dinner time and I was heading down when some light caught my attention from one of the guest rooms, the one next to Cherry's room.

The door was left ajar so I peeked in. And there she was, marvellous chloe, watching a romantic show while standing next to the plasma TV on the wall. She was now dressed in a strapless, round knee length floral dress.

I had no restraints, so I tiptoed slowly till her back was an inch close to my front.

"Oh my, how could someone do that?" She was talking to herself and I almost laughed but I stopped when I saw what was showing on the television. A couple kissing under the moonlight with fireworks doing their magics from the night sky.

"Wow, that looks good." She was now referring to how the guy picked the girl from the ground still kissing her and wrapped her legs around his waist.

Did I also just felt fireworks working their way up in my stomach?

"Marvellous Chloe, wh---" She flinched almost falling down but I gripped her and mistakenly my hand rested on one of her breasts, I almost hit the daylights out of me. I was to withdraw it but she gripped my hand and kept it there for sometime before dropping it finally, turning around slowly.

"You!" She yelled her eyes popping out.

"What have I done?" I asked innocently my heart humming against my chest but I also wanted to smile.

"Nothing." She recovered quickly before planting a smile on her lips.

"Can you please do me a favour?" She asked still smiling. No hint of shame or shyness but innocence.

" What?" I was astonished.

" Kiss me how they did." She said pointing her thumb back at the TV.

"What?" I asked in shock my eyes giving out on me.

"You heard me." She said in her innocent voice.

"Do you know what you're talking about marvellous Chloe?" Shock was still evident on my face.

"That's why I asked you to." She muttered looking down.

" Do you kiss people randomly?" I dared to ask.

" I've never been kissed before!" She shouted in frustration looking up at me.

I stopped breathing for the third time of the day. I couldn't believe my ears. She was way too innocent.

"Your first kiss should be memorable marvellous, you just don't throw it at anyone."

" I don't care it's you I'm throwing it at!"

"Marvelous..."

"Please." She begged.

" Are you sure?" I asked the innocent beauty again but she didn't reply, she just nodded.

I had no choice, I just had to.

This is what she wanted.

And me? Who said I didn't want to taste those pink lips?

To hell for just knowing her hours ago!
