I woke up alone in bed this morning, feeling all wrecked and soggy. There was no sign of Johnny anywhere in my apartment—not even a lingering warmth or a dent in the sheets.

What else did I expect? That his so-called confession would be enough of a reason for him to stay?

Joke’s on me if I believed him.

He was desperate to fill a need, and I gave it to him.

Who am I to him anyway? If it weren’t for how familiar my skin and body felt to him, he wouldn’t have touched someone like me.

After all, I’m just his stiff, weirdo secretary—haunted by the past, unsure about the future, and constantly predicting it with way too much hope.

"Are you okay?" Tamara asked, eyeing me from head to toe. "Because you’re walking like a train hit you."

"Oh, yes, I was wrecked by the train between your son's thighs," I wanted to say, full of sarcasm. Instead, I just shook my head and fumbled for a decent excuse.

I was dragging a suitcase that weighed more than I did beside her, looking like gravity was second

“Are you sure you don’t want me to—” Stefano asked, nodding toward the building as I took my seatbelt off.I was ready to be free—from my clothes, from my shoes. Ready to put my feet up, soak in a two-hour bath, and knock out in a coma-level beauty sleep.Tamara texted me an hour ago, reminding me about Seattle. We’re meeting at exactly nine tomorrow morning.I’m already packed... and lowkey terrified of whatever’s going to happen at that bachelor party. More than that, I’m nervous about what Tamara has planned for me to do.I’m gonna need to confess my sins again after this, aren’t I?“You make it sound like I need to walk ten blocks home,” I told him. “It’s not like I’m gonna get lost. You still have to go to work, remember?”He sighed, defeated. “Right.”Honestly, he deserved a proper thank you.So I leaned in and gave him a soft peck on the cheek. He stiffened. The streetlamp outside was our only source of light, but it was enough to see the way his ears turned red on the spot.“T

"Disappointed?" Stefano asked after revealing his mystery to me.I wanted to believe I didn’t get a head start, but I remembered he warned me about it. It was me who didn’t think it through—but who am I to judge?I was about to say something when a woman came out of the basement, being dragged by Theodore “the kid” by her skirt. She wiped her forehead and let out a dramatic scream of exhaustion, massaging her back with the other hand."About time!" she yelled, turning to us with a warm, wide smile. "Well, well, well. If it isn’t the great Stefano and his princess. Hi!" she greeted so enthusiastically I was taken aback. She looked just like Stefano—only more confident, louder, and brighter. Literally. She wore a silver top like she just came from a disco, and had a dangling belt around her waist. But what didn’t match her outfit were the rubber boots and gloves—wet and dirty."Uh... Cassidy, this is my sister, Gabriella. Gabriella, Cassidy. My friend," Stefano introduced us, waving his

"You're so quiet," Stefano noticed, glancing at me as we got stuck in traffic. "Is there a problem?"I shook my head and ditched the long-ass face I had. "I'm fine. Probably just tired, that's all," I replied, stretching a smile across my face.I’ve got no idea why I’m acting this way. I mean, it was just Johnny being his unpredictable, dramatic-ass self—so why the hell am I feeling guilty?First of all, he didn’t feel guilty letting random women into his office today. If he’s mad about "something" between us, he better just say it straight to my face. I’m not great at picking up hints. The problem is, Johnny likes playing Scrabble with me. The game probably ended—he already won, and I still haven’t made a move.He hates clingy women, yet he's clingy as hell. Worse than most girls, honestly. He’s got his own darn vocabulary and loves being chased. Well, guess what? He’s fast and I’m not exactly sprinting-ready in heels."I'm sorry I dragged you with me," Stefano said, and I immediatel

"Fuck you, Johnny! Fuck your dick! This bitch’s name is Sabrina, you fuck!"My shoulders shot up in surprise at the yell, and the folder I was holding flew in some random direction.A woman in a red dress stormed out of his office. One strap of her dress was hanging off her shoulder, her lipstick was smeared around her mouth, and her hair looked like it had went through a tornado. She slammed the door shut and marched toward me like I was the one who ruined her life."You!" she screamed, jabbing a finger with acrylic nails so long I thought they’d stab my eyeballs. "Go inside and tell your boss to fuck himself!"I pointed at myself, confirming if I was the one she's talking to."He’s a fucking dickhead!" she yelled again. My shoulders rose, eyes shut tight as her voice shattered my eardrums. Then she strutted down the hallway. And well, if she thought she was "that" bitch, karma didn’t wait to remind her who the real one was.I had to watch her stumble, fall straight to her knees, an

I woke up feeling tired. I took a shower, still exhausted—and that’s all because of Johnny. I lost the quality of my sleep thinking about his drama last night. There’s no weighing scale to help me measure him. No calculator to figure out his attitude. And definitely no dictionary in the world that could explain the twists and turns of that chaotic brain of his.“But at least he gave me fried chicken,” I muttered, picking up the last piece. I saved it for breakfast since I wasn’t hungry while deep-thinking like a madwoman last night.I have zero idea what his purpose was for showing up and waiting “three fucking hours” by my door.My eyes landed on the bouquet of roses. He keeps giving me those. Does he seriously think that just because his money can buy them, we’re suddenly closer?A snort left me.“What are we, Johnny?” I asked the air, as if he could hear me. “We’re far from being fuck buddies, and we’re not even friends to call it friends-with-benefits. It’s somewhere between stran

In my entire existence, I think this was the only moment I’ve ever felt so free to speak—free to express and tell my own tale—and someone was actually listening to every word I spit out.I sat by the long couch, just a few inches away from him, munching on the meat he grilled while the show he put on the TV was clearly ignored. It was just Stefano, me, and the things I told him.And he almost spat his drink out when I told him I once caught Johnny in the act of doing a “miracle” in his office with a woman.“It’s a good thing I didn’t freeze in shock,” I said, handing him a napkin. “So I slammed the door shut and had to confess my sins to a priest. And take note—that was also my 'first day' working for him.”“Shit, sorry,” he coughed, still laughing. “Didn’t know it could be that... fun... Working for him," he commented, not quite sure if he chose the right word.I rolled my eyes. “You have no idea,” I scoffed.Should I even mention the things I had to do for him? The things that were

An incident that happened in the past made a huge, embarrassing impact on a lot of people—and in my case, I’ll take it to my grave. What happened in that restaurant was pure catastrophe. It’s been three days since, but every time I see Johnny, my mind just replays how I... squirted on my seat.It was both relieving and disturbing at the same time.A lot of people were there, and we were the center of attention. I even saw an article about it yesterday. As much as I’ve got a lot of things to think about ahead, that night is still stuck right in the middle of my brain. Especially now that Johnny’s given me a new nickname: Squirtie. What the fudge?I stood by the shed under my umbrella, discreetly picking my nose that had been itching from the rainy weather.Saturday—finally. Supposed to be a rest day for me, but nope. Tamara just had to yank me out of my comfort zone."You didn’t mention to me that Johnny wanted you to go with him to Seattle," Tamara said as soon as I got into her car.

"Ouch..." I moaned while pulling on my underwear. I could feel my legs shaking, my body aching, and the soreness down there—yes, I felt it all.Like mashed potatoes. That’s me now. After being my boss’s lunch, snack, and dessert, I think I’ll need all the energy I can get just to survive dinner that is if I don’t pass out from cumming past my limit.Johnny wants me deserted, and I actually let him?Fudge. Him."What’s taking you so long?" Speak of the devil—Johnny suddenly barged into my room while I was still suffering from the wreckage he caused.Oh right, I forgot. He insisted on driving me home so I could change for dinner. Meanwhile, he’s already all clean and dressed up in a fresh, well-pressed silk shirt and pants that smell like a new, expensive car. Looking literally out of my budget. Gripping my skirt—the one I hadn’t worn yet—I used it to cover myself. This man really doesn’t understand the concept of privacy.I must’ve swallowed my yelp. I just stared at him, wide-eyed an
