LOGINSable POV
Alpha Darius has a lot of nerve to try to set up a way to force me to accept dinner with him. What no one in this pack knows, well except my parents, but they are gone, and no one else knows, is that I have a telekinetic gift. I can control the muscles and actions of other people. It is handy when you are a warrior and why I ended up becoming lead warrior.
I made sure to use it this time with Darius. I was taking a gamble but I really don’t want him bothering me about dinner or any other kind of date. I would rather spend the rest of my life alone than to choose a chosen mate.
I’m not trying to be a bitch, but I hate having to repeat myself over and over again to Alpha Darius and other warriors in the pack. I get back to my cottage and start working on my little garden of herbs. I find it therapeutic and calming. Especially, when I’m upset like right now.
I continue working on the garden quietly. All of sudden I hear soft footsteps approaching. I look up and for the first time in a few days, I see Jake. He’s back from scouting. “Hey Jake!” I say, standing up and wiping my hands on my pants. “You’re back! That’s great!”
He smiles at me, “Hey Sable. Yeah, I’m back. I even got what Alpha Darius was asking for, and you can see I’m back safe and sound.”
“That’s awesome! Well, of course, I won’t hold you up, but how was your first experience as a scout?”
“I won’t lie, I was very scared. But it was easier than I thought.”
I was surprised when Alpha Darius sent Jake to the Winter Moon pack. I heard the alpha there has a reputation for killing intruders on the spot. Scouts tend to go on their first mission after they have trained for a couple years, at least. Then the first mission is always something easy, not something as intense and dangerous as scouting the most notorious pack in the region.
It didn’t set right with me when Alpha Darius sent Jake on this mission. But I am impressed with Jake and proud of him for accomplishing his mission. “Well, I’m glad you are back. Alpha Darius was in the training facility when I left a little while ago. Why don’t you go and see if he is still there.” I say smiling.
“Thanks Sable. See you around.”
I return to gardening and let myself get lost in thought until it starts to dark.

Darius POV
I didn’t expect Jake to come back. I sent him as a decoy so Marcus, the other scout I sent behind him, could look at the Winter Moon defenses. They are the biggest threat to my operations, and I want to eliminate the Alpha. He has no Luna or heir. If I can eliminate him, then I can take over Winter Moon and I can expand my trafficking circle with the resources from his pack. He has grown Winter Moon substantially in the last five years and if I can infiltrate the pack in the most vulnerable spot, then I can conquer the pack.
I sent Jake because he is expendable. He is of no use to me. He comes from a weak pack and has no fighting ability. If he dies, it means nothing to me. Sure, he accepted me as his Alpha and I respected him, but he complains like a little bitch all the time. I need men for warriors. There are others that have come from different packs, and they don’t cry about missing home. They adapt to Dark Flame and to me as their new Alpha. He didn’t want to fall in line with that mentality, but he also never defied me. So, I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don’t want other pack members to think I’m unjust. I need them to see me as a kind and respectful Alpha. It’s part of my cover. If the Elders were to catch on to what I am doing outside of agriculture, they could have me arrested, stripped of my title or killed. The pack members being happy with me and the pack is part of my cover. It would be nice to make Sable my Luna to complete the circle, but I’m still working her down.
“Jake, well done on completing your mission. What did you find?” I asked him.
“Well, Alpha Darius, I overheard patrol talking about securing the full moon route for next week. I followed behind in the shadows and mapped out the points of the route as you ordered." Jake said.
“Why were they interested in securing the full moon route, Jake?”
“Apparently, they are hearing news about pack members missing after full moon runs. They don’t know why pack members are going missing or if there is someone involved. Nor do they suspect that you have any involvement. At least, I didn’t hear either of the patrol guards mention it, sir.”
Hmm, this is new. The smaller packs are starting to report the disappearances of their pack members. I will need to be more mindful or find another way to get other pack members for the East Region. Alpha Jasper likes his harem of women, but so do his warriors. Bloodlust pack is an apt name for his pack. He pays me handsomely for the women I supply him with too.
If there are men that don’t want to acknowledge me as their Alpha but look like they could be good slaves for Alpha Jasper, I send them too. He pays me for them so far, and he hasn’t told me to stop sending them, so I will continue with how I am running things. Either way, this is supporting my pack and pack members and helping me gain the resources I need to take down Winter Moon. It’s only a matter of time before Alpha Jaxon falls, and I rise to power.
Jaxon POVI’m looking at Matt and I’m feeling my blood pressure rise.“Is there an idea of how long the breach happened?” Sable asked. I feel her pushing calmness into the mate bond. Leave it to her to keep her composure while I get pissed.“No, Luna, but…” Matt hesitated.“But, what?” I said.“The rogue we’ve been holding is gone, too.” He said.“WHERE THE FUCK WERE THE GUARDS?” I roared. I’m not mad at Matt, but the warriors have been slacking lately. I don’t know what the hell is going on, but after Sable got here, they started getting lazy. I’m furious.“One was knocked out and the other was coming back from a bathroom break, Alpha.” Matt said.“I want two groups formed. First group, they are to report to the training facility immediately. Then we will deal with the second group. I want to know what the fuck is going on with our warriors.” I snarled.“Yes, Alpha. Right away.” Matt said as he walked off to gather the warriors.“Jaxon, what are you thinking?” Sable asked me.“I’m th
Jaxon POVA little while after Jasper left, the doctor said Joshua could be released from the hospital. He gave a prescription strength calcium regiment and explained everything to Giselle. At least that is what the doctor told me.Since arriving, Giselle has gained some weight and looks healthier than she did when she got here. Joshua also doesn’t look so pale. That’s what the guards are telling me.I have stayed away but kept updates in case there were any threats. I have been paying more attention to Sable. Jett is due back tomorrow and now the Luna Ceremony will take place during the middle of next week, which is only a few days after the original date.I don’t want to wait another week, plus, my family needs to start heading back soon. They have been a huge help to me and Sable this week. Especially, since Sable was in the hospital and I was an utter mess.We haven’t dealt with Diane yet and that’s because we were doing a deep dive of her cottage, making sure we went through ever
Jasper POVI stand up and look around. Everyone here is clearly against me. That’s fine. They will all pay. I am going to level this place in due time. Sable will still be mine, but at that time, she will be chained up to a bed and used for my pleasure.“Very well.” I said, willing myself not to look weak despite the rejection pains. That bitch Giselle will pay for embarrassing me this way.I walk away and mind link my beta. ‘We are leaving. Your Luna rejected the mate bond. I want a few guards to stay behind and get rid of her, the boy and her parents.’‘Alpha, the boy too? He’s your heir.’‘You’re questioning my authority?’‘No, Alpha, but the boy is innocent. Are you sure?’‘Yes. As soon as you have a clear shot, get rid of all of them.’ I said as I shut down the mind link.If Giselle wants to defy me, I will show her who exactly she betrayed. I will make sure she is dead before she reaches her parent’s pack. I also will not get stuck with a weak heir. I have to give him calcium pi
Jaxon POVI chuckled at my mate’s quick wit. The expression on Jasper’s face when she responded to him was priceless.“I can assure you, Luna, I’m no threat.” Jasper replied.“I bet your Luna and son would think differently. Let’s cut to the chase, Alpha Jasper. I know you had something to do with your son’s poisoning. He was in your complete care while Giselle was the patient. This tells me you wanted to stay here longer than necessary. Why? Why are you really here? What are you hoping to achieve?” She said to him, calling out his bullshit in front of a lot of people in the pack.“I have no idea what you are talking about, Luna Sable. I take offense to the accusation of poisoning my own son.” He said, glaring at my mate.I growl low, “Watch your tone with my Luna, Alpha Jasper. Or don’t blame me for what happens next.”“Please, Alpha Jaxon. Without me, you wouldn’t have your mate. You should be thanking me. Instead, you hold me here like some kind of prisoner.” Jasper responded. Iron
Sable POVAfter breakfast, we met up with everyone in Jaxon’s office. Crane was there and wanted to see the video footage. I saw myself getting ran over by the car and a shiver went through my spine. Next, I saw the video where Diane confessed to everything.Nia was beyond pissed and wanted to find Diane and rip her to shreds. ‘This bullshit she-wolf couldn’t handle not being Luna and damn near had us killed, Sable! Let me out and I will finish her.’‘Calm down. There are other things at play here, Nia. Didn’t you hear her uncle? Her cousin was picking up girls. We will have our justice, but first, I want to get information out of her.’“There are a couple of things standing out to me with her confession, Jaxon.”“I knew there would be, my little analyst.” He smirked when I gave him a look.“How many names does that make it?” I asked.“Names?” Crane asked.“Jaxon likes to give me all kinds of nicknames. He said he doesn’t like neglecting any of my personalities.” I said, smiling.Cran
Sable POVLast night after our bath, true to Jaxon’s word, I sat on my rocking chair and he got me a cup of tea. He brought a chair out with him and sat with me while we discussed everything that happened.I made the suggestion that he should get a rocking chair for the balcony too. Then we can sit out here in the evenings. He looked at me indulgently and agree he would have his craftsman make a chair for him. I am looking forward to those evenings.Once we went to bed, Jaxon didn’t want anything more than to hold me while I slept in his arms. Honestly, that is the best damn remedy ever. I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and warm in his arms. I sighed contentedly and I hear Jaxon chuckle lightly.“Is my little doe comfortable?”“Yes.” I said snuggling closer to him. I move my fingers to his chest and lightly caress his skin. I rewarded with a light growl.“Little temptress. You should stop now. I’m willing myself to behave and you just got out of the hospital.”He sounds strain
