Jo POV
Today is Layla’s bachelorette party. We have spent the entire day in her house getting ready. We did something low-key during the day because Mia wanted to be a part of the bachelorette party, so we had our hair done, massages, nails, and makeup. We got severely pampered, and it was great. I needed something like that.
I pour a glass of champagne for me and one for Layla, but she shakes her head. I frown, looking at her. Since when does she refuse alcohol? Her eyes meet mine and all of a sudden, I understand. That’s why she didn’t have a massage. “You’re pregnant?” I question and she nods as she pulls me into. Tight embrace. My best friend is pregnant.
