The Emperor's Command

"Yes mother, I want either this pink vintage style boho dress or this costarellos green velvet gown," Penelope said to her mother.

 

"We’ll buy both of them and also all of those." Madam Giselle said, and Penelope's jaw dropped.

 

‘Is this what it’s like to be rich? Because everything they see, they will buy it’ Penelope thought

 

"Penelope, are you okay, honey?" Madam Giselle said worriedly

 

"Yes, I’m fine, mother, no need to worry," Penelope said while forcefully smiling.

 

"Okay..." Madam Giselle said, while still worried.

 

The owner walked to Madam Giselle and Penelope along with the workers, carrying numerous bags with the clothes that Madam Giselle ordered inside of them.

 

"Here are the clothes you buy, Duchess Constantine and Young Miss." The owner said and signaled the other worker to put down all of them.

 

"Thank you," Madam Giselle said while smiling.

 

"We will go now," Madam Giselle said, and the owner bow

 

"Thank you for choosing the Venus Boutique Shop!" The owner said and Madam Giselle and Penelope, along with their servant, left.

 

 

At the Carriage

 

Penelope and Madam Giselle are now in the carriage and heading home, but something bothered Penelope.

 

'I remember it now!, this ball is where Penelope will be humiliated by her aunt and cousin because they are jealous of her and her family's reputation, and this is also where Penelope will begin to become a villain,' Penelope reflected.

 

"Mother, can you tell me who will be at the ball?" Penelope asked her mother

 

"Well, your aunt Juanna and cousin Camilla will be there, and also there will be other guests from the Northern Dessert," Madam Giselle explained.

 

"The Emperor assigned the three Duchesses, and whoever satisfies them wins and has a reward from the Emperor and the Northern Dessert ruler." Madame Giselle added

 

"Who are the three Duchesses then?" Penelope asks

 

"Well, it is the duchess of Bluefort, me, and also your aunty Juanna," Madam Giselle answered.

 

"What are you going to do then?" Penelope asked

 

"Well, I will order my chef to cook a Northern Dessert meal," Madam Giselle said.

 

"Okay, I hope you win, mom," Penelope said after she nodded.

 

Madam Giselle chuckled because of what her daughter said, while Penelope was just smirking in a hideous way.

 

‘Just wait and get ready, aunty Juanna and cousin Camilla Brince, because you two will be humiliated in front of others,’ Penelope thought with a dark aura.

 

"Honey, did you feel that?" Madam Giselle asked if Penelope’s dark aura was gone and was replaced by a happy one.

 

"What is it, Mom?" Penelope asks

 

"Nothing, but a few minutes ago it felt so cold, but now it’s gone," Madam Giselle said.

 

"Maybe you’re just cold, mom," Penelope said, sweating because she knew that it was her dark aura that her mother felt.

 

"Yeah, maybe I’m just cold," Madam Giselle said, agreeing with her daughter.

 

At the Brince Mansion,

 

Duchess Juanna Brince and Young Miss Camille Brince are currently in a dressing room, dressing up and getting ready for a later celebration.

 

"Mom, what do you think of this dress?" Camille Brince said to her mom while turning around

 

"It is looking good on you, my beautiful daughter," Madam Juanna said to her daughter.

 

"HA HA HA, I know that I am a beautiful person and I will make sure to seduce the guests so that you can win the competition, mother," Camille said.

 

"Even if you don’t do that, I can still win." Madam Juanna said
