Chapter 28

The garden behind the packhouse was even lusher than the garden at the community centre.  It held many different flowering plants while the community centre was more food-based.  Rows of roses lined the path and lavender plants filled in empty spaces in the gardens, attracting a number of butterflies.  It was a favourite spot of mine in the pack.  The first thing I did when I became Alpha was to restore all the pack gardens to their former glory.  The few memories I had with my mothers were of her gardening.  Being here made me feel close to her, even years after her death.
