Chapter 80

The King was...Atlas.

As far as my thoughts could reach...this past of mine goes beyond the end of my thoughts. Leaving me breathlessly and utterly miserable.

Every single person I knew had played a role in my past. This one right here was the most shocking of them all. It suddenly made sense...Atlas's unnecessary death was not the definition of Ragnar's brutality, it was his revenge.

Though Atlas was kind in my time but all Ragnar could see was the King who ruined him. All this time I thought he was the monster who wanted to terrorize me with his brutality and he also never explained his actions. He gladly went with the label of monster I threw at him because he knew he was deserving of it. All these decades played a role in making him inhuman and thus he just couldn't differentiate between his revenge and an actual kill.

The actual monster walked past me and sat on his throne. The throne I was so proud of did nothing but bring a sense of shame to me. My ancestors were nothing like
