Chapter 10 Chapter Ten

Author: Kimberlycullen14
It's been a long time since I've seen the sunrise, at least not in this way.up to see the bright golden rays peeking through the mountain of clouds, melting thick inches of snow below. Killian was asleep beside me. I wondered how we could even fit on my little bed, but somehow we did. He was snoring soundly beside me, so peaceful. It felt almost unrealistic. almost.

After a while of just lying there with thoughts in my head, thoughts of my impending future and little snip bits of some fantasy life that was playing in the back of my eyes, Kilian stirred. He was waking up.

I was greeted with his sea green eyes. He struggled to recover from the heavy fog of sleep and then his eyes met me. I think they brightened up a little bit. Of course, I could be wrong. I hoped I wasn’t.

He smiled at me with that sinfully sexy smile of his.

morning.

Morning, "I replied."

His voice was heavy with sleep; it was gruff and it made me tingle all around. I desperately wanted him. I couldn’t lie to myself anymore. Yes, I have no experience in bed, having never actually been with a man. But I was aware of my desires; in fact, I was intimately acquainted with them.I had my first sexual awakening when I was fifteen, when I was rudely woken up by Ivan and the other teens rummaging around in the backyard with water guns. Noah was there, shirtless, soaking wet, his chestnut brown hair soaked, smiling and running here and there. I sprung to life that day. Then when I was seventeen, I realized that there’s a lot of pleasure to be had when you... touch yourself a certain way, the tingling, then the need, the pleasure, followed by the building tension that explodes and leaves you quite literally weak in the knees.

"Don’t play those games, little one," Killian growled at me, his eyes flickering in between deep blood red and back to his green ones. It was then that I remembered that Lycans could smell arousal. They could smell any emotion really. And I could smell his, just as much as he could smell mine, and it was heavy in the air. He had smelt my arousal. I averted my gaze, my cheeks red, something they'd been doing a lot lately. As much as I’d love to know what he tastes like and how he feels, it wasn’t the right time, not yet anyway. A loud growl came out of nowhere. It took me a few seconds to realize what it really was. Kilian’s stomach decided at that moment to voice its dissatisfaction with having no food. I tried not to laugh at the awkward situation as Kilian faked a cough. Did he really think he would hide that loud growl through a measly cough? He looked almost embarrassed.

"You should go down for breakfast, Killian,"

"I don’t want to go. I want to stay here with you,"

"The others are waiting for you," I half laughed, as I playfully tried to push him out of bed.

"Well, how would you know that?"

"Because Killian."

"Because what little one?"

"Because I can hear them. They woke up a while ago. They’re outside the door, too afraid to come in."

He stared at me questioningly. I knew he hadn’t heard anything. The Red Hallow Pack house was built for werewolf ears, and by that, I mean every room had been sound proofed, for our own good really. As is tradition, the pack house hosts unmated wolves, a few teenagers, and, of course, newly mated couples that are waiting to be relocated to their new home. With this in mind, it could get a bit too... noisy.

It got to the point that the pack house was known for its constant state of moaning noises and bed creeks. Quite an embarrassment when, on the rare occasion, guests needed to stay in the pack house. And so Alpha Michael decided to soundproof the whole pack house, bringing peace once again. But not to me.

I realized when I could still hear it, I heard everything, but after a while, I learned how to tune the noises out.

"Really, I can’t hear anything. Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes, I can."

" Well, let them wait. I’m with my mate. "

"I’m sure they won’t appreciate me stealing their alpha,"

"You can’t steal what’s yours, Genesis."

He was mine; it made my heart flutter at the thought. He was giving himself to me. He was giving himself to me. It gave me goose bumps. I couldn’t help myself. It was almost out of instinct really. The way I placed my hand on his rough jawline, the way I inched unbearably closer towards him, and the way I placed my lips on his rough ones, tasting him, wanting him, needing him. It made me dizzy.

I was in control now as I fumbled through the kiss. It took Killian a moment to realize what was going on and then I felt him relax into the kiss. This made my wolf howl within me. She was crawling to get out, practically screaming at me to take control and I let her.

A dash of boldness shot through me as I bit down on Kilian’s lower lips. He was stunned for a second, but that was all I needed to let my tongue in. He growled as I felt something large and hard poke my inner thigh. I smiled into the kiss. I pinned his hands to the pillow and shifted my weight, making me lie on top of him, him beneath me while grinding my hips. God, it felt so good. His hands were in my hair, one on my hips tightly, his hips thrusting upwards desperately seeking the friction he so desperately required.

"By the Goddess Genesis," he half moaned through the kiss, his voice raspy with desire. It made me want more, so much more. I was in the middle of taking off my shirt when a loud knock on the door brought me back. I could feel my wolf’s anger at the abrupt interruption, but it was all that I needed to get my mind right. I reluctantly got rid of Killian, a look of pain and anger flushing through his eyes, his hand loosening its grip on my waist.

"Some... someone needs you," I struggled to say, my voice still drunk from his taste. He stood up with a growl and walked towards the door. The wooden floor thudded with his angry stomping. He clearly didn’t like being interrupted.

He flung the door open. I was afraid that he’d rip the door straight from its hinges.

"What!" He let out a loud snarl and I shivered. I could feel his anger radiating through the small room. It made me tremble. My wolf struggled not to submit. She also wanted to be dominated by him, a fact that she had made clear by the images she pushed into my head. I struggled to keep my control.

Behind the door stood Andrew, his head bowed low. I could hear his heartbeat. I could smell his fear.

I... I... I’m sorry, Alpha. I just wanted to know if you needed anything. "

"Did I call for you?"

"No... No Alpha," Andrew said, his voice going two octaves higher.

"Then who gave you the right to come here?"

"Forgive me, I didn’t mean to, I simply..."

"Do this again and I'll sever your head from your head. Leave "

The silence was deafening. I turned in the bed trying to make myself comfortable, holding on to the sweet fog of sleep but it was slowly ebbing away. I grunted and turned to the other side. It definitely wasn't the bed, it was comfortable too comfortable. Or maybe it was the sound of the trees of the sunlight that was practically blinding me. I open my eyes giving up on the hopeless mission to stay asleep my mind simply wouldn't allow me to keep on sleeping. The room was different.I sat on the bed and looked around. The green and gold sheer canopy that draped the sides of the bed blurred my vision but I could see it. The wooden dresser, golden mirror a large mosaic tile-like carpet, are no doubt from the human world or the Pixie clans. The floor was wood; the large oak tree occupying a large portion of the room was in the middle. I look up and I can see the blue sky up above. An enchanted ceiling just like the one in my room in the high eleven towers but the whole room looked differen

The campsites made its way into my view and I smiled. Ler had taken me back. What was even better is that I could see the rows of tents and the figures beneath walking about doing their daily duties, they were still there.Ler’s arrival had caused a few to look up and now a small crowd was gathering in front of us. I saw him through the crowd he stood there next to Grod eyes wide and a smile on his face. Ler landed right in front of them and they came closer.“You’re majesty!” Faran called out urgently as he came closer and almost in an instant was by my side. The rest of the camp had gathered to see me, they stood around whispering and looking. Faran was about to touch me when Grod and his headless form came into view. I felt the cold hands snaking their way onto my waist pulling me off Ler and into his hand. The sudden movement made me hiss out in pain. The feeling of my leg being moved made it difficult for me to focus.Faran looked at my leg, face paling.“Witch!” He shouted to no

I felt cold extremely cold my body trembled. The darkness weighed heavily on my consciousness. I felt my heart flutter thumping rapidly beneath my chest, my mind trying to capture what little my senses could pick up. And everything came into focus. My eyes snapped open but I quickly shut them, the light burning my eyes, once I’d adjusted I opened them again.I saw green, I saw the crystal blue sky and I heard the sound of rushing water. I felt my hair floating around as if being pulled and swayed ever so gently by the river bed, my body lay in the shallow folds of the bank's rocks making my body ache. My lungs burned and I coughed, feeling the water that was trapped within my chest cavity. I tried to stand up but my body failed me and I fell back down and let out a groan. My leg something was wrong with my leg, I could feel the pain, it was strongest there I pulled up my head and struggled to look at it, it was stained with blood a large gash tip running up to the highest point of my a

The moon was full and the night was fresh, for the most part of the night we’d spent in waiting now the thunderous noise of growls, hisses, and snarls made their way across the valley. From our point of view, high above In the distant trees hidden beneath its shadows we could see them clearly. We could smell the blood decay.I could see everything from here, the feeling of the wind rippling through my feathers as my eyes adjusted to the movements down below. When I turn into an owl somehow everything felt clearer I could see everything, I could hear everything. I look down surveying everything, finding out what was there I hadn’t noticed Jeffrey, maybe he had been hiding somewhere.Nevertheless, it was time. I fly back to the tree line spotting Faran in the group of elves almost immediately. He nodded his head and I shift back landing softly on the heavy tree trunk“What did you see?” Faran asked.I leaped down and walked towards the rest of the warriors belowground. Will came out of t

The grounds were ripe with anticipation. There was so much tension in the air. For the past three weeks, we'd strategized and talked and fought on the right course of action. A week ago we found that the vampires and terrors were moving closer to the southern borders, they were heading towards the bear shifter packs, cutting off the second strongest shifters before coming for the Kings land.A group of lion shifters who barely made it out with their lives brought the news with them. We ride on today.I walk towards the camps shifters readying themselves for battle, elves, fae, and seelies readying their armor. I could see the fear in their eyes. They were all afraid. That I could see quite clearly. The tents were full, large wolves walking about, the others were scattered about, some reigning the horses, others having meals, some in a circle just waiting. I spot Faran at a far distance, he walks about almost in an aimless manner looking at everything, stopping occasionally to talk to a
