After coming back from another fruitless search, Hannah found herself listless and exhausted. It was like none of the witnesses wanted to be found or they were too scared to come forward.

Ian had told her about a man who had been quite close to her parents but when they went to see him, it became known to them that the warrior had committed suicide shortly after the death of his mate during the destruction of Alapego pack, her place of origin.

But she wouldn’t completely term it as fruitless because Hannah now knew that her mother had been of Alpha bloodline and a renowned healer with tremendous powers. Mariah got mated to a human hence the reason why her father, the then Alpha of Alapego cut her off. The man saw it as a source of humiliation to their family name and saw no need to let her take over from him.

These was all she had gotten so far but still no news of how Alapego came to destruction nor how Casper got into the picture. At the mention of the beautiful Mariah, everybody
