FOREIGN FEELING

The members of Alpha Marcus’s pack always thinks she was the privileged daughter of the Alpha, hence they do not hesitate to bully her...if only they knew.

She stopped going to the pack house entirely, much to the pleasure of Marcus. He called it “a wise decision”.

But it was really because she hated how they made wild assumptions of how she was being treated in his house.

It was difficult when she’s forced to endure the most intense kind of pain while everyone thought she was in paradise.

She overheard him the other night discussing the visit of the king and with the way he sounded, it seemed to be a big deal.

Alpha doesn’t easily get phased by anyone or anything but hearing the slight anxiety in his tone when he spoke of the King had her taken aback.

Hannah knew nothing about the king because Alpha Marcus made sure she didn’t go to school or associate with anyone, not even to learn basic wolf history.

He only wanted her to know what he tells her and nothing more.

Her memories of the lessons she got when she was much younger were faint and all over the place. She remembers her family but doesn’t remember anything about her pack. Alpha Marcus told her, he found her among the ruins from her destroyed pack.

The Alpha left with Luna Kristin to the Pack house where he’ll be welcoming the king after leaving behind a stern warning for her not to step out of the house.

He used to lock her in while going out in the past, but he now believed she was tamed enough not to go against his orders.

When she was sure he had left, she slowly descended down the stairs and made her way to the sitting room.

Since no one was home, she thought she could be free to at-least eat what she likes.

She smelled the cookies Luna Kristin baked last night and proceeded to trace it till she found it at the top of the dining table.

It tasted divine and soon enough, she was lost in bliss.

Hannah was about munching her 12th cookie when the hairs at the back of her neck stood at full attention.

Goosebumps lined her arms and she trembled from the effects of something she could not yet identify.

It was so strong and compelling that the cookie in her hands fell as she hastily began to make her way towards the door.

It was like a force had taken possession of her body and mind. She forcefully unlocked the back door and went out.

A smell wafted through her nostrils and she felt a strong urge to find the source of the smell.

It was coming from the direction of a stream not too far from Alpha Marcus’s house.

She knew about the stream because the Luna had taken her there a few times, without Marcus knowing of course.

Even barefooted, she didn’t mind the stones and pebbles scabbing and piercing her foot. She tripped a few times but that didn’t stop her.

As she got closer to the stream, the scent even became stronger, completely engulfing her senses. It smelled of cinnamon mixed cologne, a perfect combination.

But her legs abruptly stopped when she also felt the presence of so many people at the clearing.

The aura of one of the people there was so strong and imposing, she almost bent her neck out in submission from the force of the man’s presence.

“What are you doing here?” An unfamiliar voice boomed from somewhere behind her. She recoiled in fear and almost retracted back into her shell.

“ i asked you a question Pup, state your purpose for being here” the man said again and she felt him draw closer to her.

Her legs began to step backwards, while dread covered her body. Hannah was in tears even without the man touching her.

She knew it was only going to be a matter of time before the man hit her. She deeply regretted coming outside, Alpha Marcus had been right afterall...she invites trouble anywhere she goes.

“Lukas don’t frighten the young girl” a much more authoritative voice spoke up and she realized he was the one with that powerful aura. The same person who her wolf was going insane at the hearing of his voice.

“Your majesty but —”

“She’s just a kid, loosen up. Now little girl come forward, i want to see you” he demanded and her legs began to involuntary move towards him.

The more she drew closer, the more her heartbeat increased as if trying to jump out of her chest.

She heard the man suck in a long breath before he briskly covered the remaining distance between them.

She felt his body warmth even without having to touch him which not only confused her but also overwhelmed her senses.

“This is impossible...she is—you are...oh goddess” he was stuttering in disbelief and Hannah assumed the worst.

She fell to her knees immediately and she heard countless footsteps advance towards her. Her hands grabbed on tightly onto his trousers.

“I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have been here. I know I’ve ruined everything but please forgive me” she was sobbing silently.

The warriors looked on in bewilderment and confusion, they wondered what was wrong.

“Your majesty, give us the permission to remove her from your presence” the man called Luka said with determination.

The king elicited a deep growl which had the man shocked and stepping backwards.

“Don’t come close to her, don’t even dare to touch what’s mine!”

Silence ensued and once he was sure nobody would hurt his mate, he proceeded to carry her bridal style and began walking towards a car parked a little distance from there.

Hannah was still sobbing because to her she had made a grave mistake that may even lead to her death.
