The New girl at the Surface

Lukas kept looking at the girl while trying to understand how she came to be so. She was no longer blind, as a matter of fact nothing about her indicates she had ever had an issue with her sight.

Emma’s lifeless body looked like she had been descended upon by a possessed spirit. So many cuts littered her body and her neck was at an awkward position but still, she was the only one whose head remained on the body; same couldn’t be said for the other two girls.

“Oh goddess. My goddess!! What happened to my baby…? What happened to Emma?” a woman’s high volume sob reverberated all through the room. She was Mrs Braxton, Emma’s mother. She was also joined by other women whose children met the same fate.

“Beta Lukas…” a warrior called out to him in a frazzled tone.

“hmmm?”

“This is not looking too good and I doubt the king is yet aware”

Of course he’s not aware. Casper had gone with Zion to settle a few border disputes far away from the palace. He will likely be expected home by midnight
