Cool like uncle Mike

Everyone present at the birthday party were beyond shocked to Riley. No one expected to see her again. After rejecting Michael, she had cut ties with everyone including Jordan. And Jordan did not want to cross the line which Riley had drawn between them. Riley had changed her phone number and her mother’s phone number too.

Michael’s eyes went wide and he almost flipped on the table. But Jordan held his hand and tried to calm him down. Sarah came and stood in front of Michael as if guarding him from evil. Michael breathed lightly and leaned his head onto his mom’s back.

Adrian did not know how to react to her. He simply stood at the door, thinking what to do. He knew if he invited her inside, there was high chance of Michael and his family leaving the place.  And he also did not want to hurt Michael by inviting her inside. He cleared his throat, “Riley.”

She smiled lightly, “Did I come at the wrong time?”

“I think so. I am really sorry,” he said.
