Chapter 2: Mysterious

"Lorien, sweetheart? Are you awake?"

I heard a knock on my door repeatedly. With a grunt, I covered myself up with my blanket, not wanting to get up. I still want to get more sleep but then I heard my door creaking, I know it's mom entering my bedroom.

"I know you're awake, honey." She said as she opened the curtain here in my room and pulled the sheets away from me. "Wake up, you're going to be late for school."

"Ugh," I groaned, pulling back the sheets. "Five more minutes, mommy. I swear I'll get up."

"No more five minutes, baby. Now, get up and shower, breakfast's ready." Mom replied, picking up some of my dirty clothes on the floor and cleaned up a little before completely leaving my room.

I, once again, groaned as I get off of my bed lazily. After I've showered and blowing my hair dry, I put on a plain shirt with ripped jeans pairing it with black converse. When your mother's a fashionista, you wouldn't want to dress up like a geek or tomboy or whatever, or else, she will really make you wear the glittery and sparkly dresses as punishment. I ran downstairs only to see my mother sipping her coffee and watching television.

I headed right into the kitchen, getting a toasted bread from the table then sat besides mom, putting my glass of milk on the center table as I was brushing my hair. Yes, I still am drinking milk, don't judge me.

"Lorien, do you know this band?" Mom asks, turning her head to me and pointing the remote control to the screen.

"Huh?" I turned to her and to the screen only to see those guys on it: Zenith. "Yep I know them, mom. I met them just yesterday." I nodded.

"Oh really?" I nodded once more, drinking my milk in one go. "How are they then?" Mom asks, placing the remote control underneath her chin as if thinking.

"They're fine. They're good."

"And?" Mom raises her eyebrows up and down, I sighed.

"Mom, I know what you're thinking."

"Uh-huh." She hummed as I rolled my eyes while chewing on my food causing mom to laugh.

"Mom, stop it. I'm off," I stood up from the couch then gave her a peck on her cheek before leaving the house.

Just as I closed the door behind me, I pulled out my phone from my bag and plugged in my earphones. It's not a surprise that I'm one of those that cannot ever function without music, the road to school isn't that far but it usually takes me ten to twenty minutes. I had been walking to school since day one, and along the way I could see things that piques my interest. People in this whole neighborhood probably know me. I hummed, snapping my fingers, and danced at the sound of the beat in the song I am listening to. But then froze when a car had stopped right in front me, I frowned with crossed arms and removed my earphones looking at this black car in front of me.

The door opened and a guy hopped out. Harold.

"Good morning, Lorien," he greeted me with a loving smile as he was opening his arms then slowly wrap them around my shoulders.

"Good morning to you too," I replied as he lets go. "Uh, can I ask you something?"

"Go on, ask." Harold answers, shoving his hands into the pocket of his jeans.

"Were you the one driving? Are you blind? What do you think you're doing? You almost hit me!" I exclaimed which caused him to laugh, "What are you laughing about? Didn't you see me walking?"

"That is why we pulled over. We saw you walking." He explained with a closed fist over his mouth but I still can see his smile.

Wait, we?

"Hi," I heard someone say from inside of the car as Milo's head pops out from its window, waving and smiling at me. "Good morning, we're so sorry for scaring you." He smiles beautifully, the sunlight hitting his eyes as it shines twice as bright and showing off his white pearls.

I shrugged. "You better be," I perked a brow but with a smile, "Or are you taking your revenge on me for getting your shirt stained by my coffee?"

He giggles. "Of course not. What made you think like that?" Milo looked over to his younger brother who was standing by the car, "Harry was actually the one who saw you dancing on the street and told me to pull over to give you a ride to school."

I uncrossed my arms as I looked at the brothers, "Give me a ride?"

"Yep," Harold answers. "I hope you wouldn't say no to the two of the Ellis of Zenith," he chuckles.

"It's not like I have a choice," I shrugged and hopped inside of the car as the both of them laughed. I sat comfortably on the back seat, placing my bag right beside while Harold and Milo were on the front.

The blonde steps onto the gas and the car started moving, silence had taken over and it was eating me alive. Don't these two talk, or just like turn on the music player so it won't be awkward?

"You should be honored you're in the car with Zenith." Harry had decided to break the ice, and looking at me through the rear view mirror with a smirk lining up on his lips.

"Wow," I rolled my eyes on him. "I can't believe this. I am so happy to be with Milo and Harold Ellis of Zenith. I'm so very happy I could die." I sassed.

"D'aww, you don't have to be that happy," Milo replied together with a laugh.

"But I'm with two of the members of my favourite band, Zenith," I answered as the these two monkeys laughed over and over again.

"Favourite, huh?" I heard Milo whisper, as he looked at me through the rear view mirror and asked, "Say, what school do you go to?"

"I go to Daleny Academy."

"You've got to be kidding me," replied the man sitting beside Milo, twisting his body as he flashes me a big and bright smile. I perked a brow at him, "We are at the same school!" He howled.

"Oh shut up, there is no way that is possible." I crossed my arms and legs and added, "There is no celebrity that goes to my school, Harry."

"I'm being serious!" He shouted, as he tried getting close to me but his seatbelt began choking him. Not only in their update tour videos is this guy a dork, also in real life. "We really are at the same academy!" He added sounding so happy, and then unbuckling his seatbelt.

"So now what? I should jump in joy because the youngest in the group goes to the same school as me? Like yay Harry and I are at the same school oh my gosh!!"

The brothers, again, laughed at my comment, "I'm not expecting you to, Lorien. I'm just happy to know we go to the same school. I mean, I have my twin sister there!"

"We're not twins. I don't even have a brother."

"Aw come on, just think of me as your big bro."

"Fine but, we gotta get to our class. We're here."

Milo stopped the car just in front of the school's gate as Harry and I hopped out. Harry runs around the car as he stands next to me, holding the strap of his bag with one hand as he looks down and smiled at me.

Milo rolls down his window and honked, "Bye twins, see you later," he winked. That's so adorable oh my!

"Thanks for the drive big bro!" Harry replied with a salute, then Milo rolls his window back up and steps onto the gas, driving off to God knows where.

Just as Milo had disappeared from our sight I whispered, "Well bye, Harry." I turned around to get inside of the campus but then I felt a hand wrapping around my wrist, stopping me from doing so.

"What class are you in this semester?" He asks with a smile.

I jerked my hand away, hiding it to my back. "Why?"

Harry shrugs, "Because there's a possibility that we could be in the same class together."

"No," I sternly replied as Harry's eyes grew wide, "You are not in the same class as me. I've never seen your face before."

"Well," Harry shoves his hand into the pocket of his hoodie, "-that's because I've been gone for God knows how long. I've been excused from school."

Oh I forgot, he's in a band. He has been gone for a tour for a month or two. How stupid of me.

I shake my head to hide my embarrassment, "Th-then why don't you go to the faculty and staff and ask?" I suggested before I ran a hand through my hair and pointing towards the direction of the faculty.

Harry's face brightens, "Good idea. Let's go." He took my again once more but before he could take one step, I pulled it away as he grew confused.

"Woah," I put my hands up in surrender, "I'm not coming with you. I have a class to go to."

"Oh come on, it's not gonna take long, I promise." Harry grunted, stomping his right foot on the ground. Does he know he's looking like a little kid right now? But I rolled my eyes on him and ran to the faculty and staff's room on the other building of the school with this dork.

And oh guess what, we are really in the same class.

Isn't this too coincidental?

"I told you we could be in the same class!" Harry chirped and tried to keep his pace with me.

"Oh shut up, Ellis and walk faster! We're going to be late!"

As we get to the classroom, the teacher was already dicussing in front. I froze, I didn't want to enter the room. How could I forget that today is Monday and my first class for today is Mrs. Logan's? I'm done for. I have problems in waking up early and came late to her classes for several times, but I know that if I were to tell her that I'd woken up late, I would spend a week in the detention for sure. I closed my fist, but then Harry took my hand then again and opened the door which surprised me.

"What are you doin-"

"Good morning, ma'am, we're sorry we're late!" Harry shouts as I get back behind him to hide my face from Mrs. Logan.

"Miss Daniel," she calls and I flinched. "Late again, aren't we?" She asked; I slowly raised my head as I see her with an eyebrow raised at me and arms are crossed. I put my head back down in embarrassment.

"We're terribly sorry for being late," Harry whispers then adds in, "It's my fault." I looked up at him and shook his body. What is he saying?

Mrs. Logan places a hand on her waist, glaring at Harry. "And you are?"

"Harold Topher Ellis, ma'am."

"Harold...Topher...Ellis?"

"Yes, ma'am." Harry nodded.

"That guy in Zenith!?" I heard a girl inside the room screamed.

"Holy! The youngest of them all!?" Another has shouted, as the rest of the girls in this classroom had pulled out their phones and flashes of camera had greeted the celebrity.

"Silence!" Mrs. Logan exclaimed as she threw her hands up in the air, then she looked at Harry, "Well then Mr. Ellis, it seems to me that Miss Daniel and you already know each other, then take the seat right beside her." Mrs. Logan stated.

"Gladly, ma'am," Harry cheered and he pulled me inside of the room with him, "Where is your seat?"

I pulled my hand back, "Stop holding my hand," I glared at him.

"Oops," he puts his hands up in surrender. "Sorry," he whispers and I could feel steam coming out of my ears. Gosh.

The class went on yet Harry is just so quiet, listening to whatever the teacher in front is saying. I had my chin resting on the palm of my right hand, with my elbow on the desk for support. I had been watching him for almost an hour now, I don't know but I just can't believe that he would be like this at school. He's being the total opposite of the Harold Ellis that we see from all of their videos uploaded in their ViewTube channel- funny, talkative and one who makes a lot of faces at the camera. I never thought he'd really be like this in school.

Until the bell rang, lunch time.

I was fixing my things when Harry grabbed hold of my hand and pulled me with him running to the cafeteria. This guy really likes holding my hand even though I told him not to, sigh.

"What the heck? Why'd you drag me here with you?" I asked him as he finally lets go of my hand.

"To eat, obviously." He replied, bouncing up and down like a kid.

Oh look, he's still Harold Ellis - the food monster.

"You go eat," I slung my bag onto my shoulder, obviously it fell after being dragged all the way here by Harry. "I'll be at the library," I finished.

"No way!" He exclaims, pulling me back to his side making me groan. "We'll eat together and you cannot do anything about it!"

I crossed my arms while glaring at him then he holds up his pointer finger in front of my face as he said, "Wait here and I'll order," he turns around and was about to leave the table but then he spins himself around one more time just to say, "I will, pay," I smirked then he sprinted into the line.

I just shook my head as I broke into fits of laughter, although he's a bit of a dork, he's got an adorable side. Maybe it will not be so bad- being friends with Harry and his brothers. In fact, thousands of girls would love to be in the position I'm in right now. The Ellis' were known to be gentlemen, nice and kind, humble, and I think they all know how to treat a girl right. Not that I'm wishing to become one of the brothers' girlfriend, that is just my opinion since they really cherish their mother and grandmother. With a sigh, I looked away from Harry then pulled out a book from my bag, and opened it from the last page I've read.

"Get that book back inside of your bag 'cause food's here," I groaned just as Harry snatched my book from me and put it inside of my bag. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Harry places a plate in front of me with a smile on his face, "I hope you like lasagna, I don't know what you like so I have just thought of that."

"Cool, I like lasagna," I smiled back to him as he sits down on the seat across me and then we started digging.

And honestly, it is such a good thing that the students here do not pay too much attention to Harry- more importantly, to me. It's all because I have been with him the entire day, but who knows, some people could be out there spreading weird gossips about me. As we finished our lunch, we've gone to our own classes and waited for three more hours for the bell to ring and for the class to end.

The last bell rang and my eyes grew big and wide when I saw Harry standing by the door of my class, I shake my head in amusement before walking over to the door. I leaned against the doorframe, crossing my legs and smirking at him, "I never thought Harold Ellis is going to be like this in school," I finally let that out.

He looked at me and smiled, "You were shocked, weren't you?" He chuckles, "Well, I wanted to prove to them that even though I'm in a band that goes all over around the world, I can still have an excellent performance in school."

"I see," I nodded in response. "But what does waiting for me out here has to do with that?"

Harry lets out another laugh, removing his hands in his back pocket. "Well I'm here to pick you up, obviously."

"Why did you have to do that?" I crossed my arms.

"Because I wanted to," he smiles before taking my hand, "Let's go," he finishes as he pulls me along with him.

When we got to the school's gate, I saw a familiar car from across the street. I stood on my toes as Harry noticed what I was doing, "That's not going to make you any more taller," he teased as I roll my eyes on him.

"Quiet," I glared up at him. "Hey Harry, isn't that Milo's car?"

"Oh yeah," my face lit up. Milo's here, wait did I just get excited over the fact that I could see Milo?

Harry and I got out of the campus as this big guy beside waved at his brother who was inside of the car still. Then the door opens and somebody hops out, but hey, it was not Milo but Tybalt.

"Hey big bro," Harry fist bumped with his older brother when we got across the road, "Thanks for picking me up."

"Yeah, sure," Tybalt replied in short, "Get in and we'll go straight home, Milo's busy writing lyrics."

Oh of course he would be, stupid me.

"As usual, he's the father of the band after all." Harry replied and suddenly puts an arm around my shoulders, "By the way, let's drive Lorien home. Would you mind?"

"I would but, I know you wouldn't not let me."

Ouch?

"Thanks, bro." Harry opened the door for me and I got in while he slips into the passenger seat. I just sat there comfortably at the back seat, this silence is eating me alive.

Why do I feel so awkward around Tybalt? Why is he so mysterious?

We all know that the Tybalt Ellis is a funny guy, one who always do funny faces in front of the camera just like his brothers, and one who cannot go on a day without smiling. But right now, he isn't like that- he is being the cold type of guy that shuts everyone out. He's looking so serious and I haven't seen him smile even once. And just like the day we met at Kofibucks, he won't talk.

What is with him?
