Chapter 4: Hanging Out

My eyes flew open, as I rubbed them with my hands, I sat up on my bed to look at my alarm clock—6:00 AM. Oh my gosh, this is almost a miracle! My mother would surely be proud of me for waking up before my alarm goes off! This is the first time this happened!

I'm still half-asleep, I'm sorry..

I stood up from my bed, running my fingers through my messy and greasy hair as I threw a bath towel upon my shoulder. I wore my plain black shirt as well as black skinny jeans and gray hoodie together with my white converse shoes, before getting to my hair which I had pulled my hair into a messy bun. A bun is too common but it's the easiest way for a girl to style her hair, especially if she was running late. Wouldn't you agree? Anywho, I slung my bag to my shoulder, applying lip gloss as I took one last look of myself from the mirror in front of me. I nodded my head before heading downstairs and I saw my mom reading her newspaper.

"Good morning, mom," I kissed her on the cheek as I placed my bag beside her and walked into the kitchen for a glass of water.

"Good morning, sweetheart," mom smiles and I hear her flipping out the pages of the newspaper, "What do you want for breakfast?"

I smirked, "Hm.. Kofibucks."

"Oh come on," mom rolls her eyes making me laugh, "You've got to be kidding me," she groans as she stands up from the couch and made me sit on my chair before placing a plate right in front of me, "Here, pancakes."

I chuckled. "And then I'll go to Kofibucks?" She rolled her eyes on me once more, sitting right across me as I tried doing the puppy face and my mother lets out a sigh.

"Fine, finish your breakfast first," she gave in. I knew she could never resist me!

"Yay, thanks mom!"

As I finished my breakfast, I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand then I heard a groan from the woman right in front of me. Slowly, I raised my head up to look at her only to see her glaring at me, I nervously chuckled. She didn't like me doing that, she says that it's not so lady-like. But before I could hear anything from her, I had gone outside of the house and walked to Kofibucks. I let my hair down my shoulders, the waves looked like they were natural, wow I feel pretty. Chuckling to myself, I stuck in my earphones in my ears as I was on my way.

I pushed the door open gently, smiling as I see that the line isn't that long, I wouldn't have to wait and I could stay for about ten minutes. I immediately sprinted to the line as I got inside then ordered my usual and find for a vacant table.

I hummed, and sat on the chair looking outside through this glass wall on my right. I checked the time on my phone: 6:32 AM. Too early to go to school, huh? But I'm getting bored here so I stood up and walked my way to school. But just like that day, I had spilled my drink on someone on my way out of Kofibucks. I mentally slapped myself as I slowly looked up to the person I had accidentally spilled my coffee on, and it turns out to be Tybalt.

"Oh my gosh," I mumbled and grabbed a bunch of tissue I saw from the counter table as I wiped down his shirt. "I-I'm so sorry, Tybalt! I...I didn't see you there! I am so sorry! I didn't mean to-"

"It's fine." He cut me off with that cold tone and slapped my hand away, but taking tissues from the counter and wiping off the coffee stain on his shirt. I just stared at him, played with the hem of my shirt then bit my nail and looked down my shoes.

"I swear, Tybalt, I.." I stuttered, "I'm-I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..."

"I said it was fine," He replied, throwing the dirty tissues to the trash and walked pass by me, while I'm just here, back to biting my nails and standing by the door.

I watched him order his or should I say, their drinks. He gave the barista a card and turned himself around, looking down on the coffees and let out a deep breath when saw me still standing here.

"Lor-"

I decided to cut him off, "Are-are those drinks for everyone?"

He looked down to the drinks his both hands are holding and looked back to me, "Yes."

"Ca-can I help you? You know—" I formed my hands into a prayer form, "—as a payment for, you know." I stuttered looking down my shoes.

"Sure—" I looked up to him in surprise, "—if that's what you really want." I nodded my head up and down with a smile on my face.

Tybalt gave me the coffees and unlocked the car he brought with him. He opens the door as it brought a smile across his face, but that smile turned upside down when he gets inside of the car and slammed the door shut. I rolled my eyes, he's such a gentleman isn't he? I opened the door and hopped in as he started the car's engine then stepped on the gas and drove off immediately.

***

The drive was quite awkward, so I really thank God for getting us here as soon as possible. As he pulls over and gets out of the car, I just followed him and the door of this big house we're standing in front of opened, revealing a beautiful lady with blonde hair. She's smiling to Tybalt then her eyes landed on me, I swallowed a lump in my throat and was about to speak but Tybalt cut me off...again.

"Mom, this is Lorien, Harold's classmate."

"Oh, I see," she looks down to her son and gasps, "Oh boy, what happened to your shirt?"

"I-"

Tybalt cut me off once more.

"It's the truck's driver's fault, mom. Don't worry about it."

"When will you ever be careful?" Mrs. Ellis groans as Tybalt and I entered the house then his mother suddenly screamed, "Boys! Tybalt and Lorien are here with coffees!"

We headed to the living room as Tybalt put the drinks on the table and so I did the same thing; eyes roaming around the whole place. He's headed upstairs, to change maybe, while I was just seated on the couch, hands on my lap and feet together. Just like a little kid.

"Feel at home, sweetheart." Mrs. Ellis said to me and smiled, I smiled back to her as she left me alone in the living room.

"Lorien!" I stood up in surprise just when someone had shouted my name, it was Harry.

"You almost gave me a heart attack!" I exclaimed as he laughs.

"I'm sorry. What are  you doing here?"

"Uh, I-"

"She's spilled coffee all over me just like what she did to Milo that day, and asked me to let her help me to carry those here." Tybalt, again, cut me off as he was adjusting his shirt.

"For real?" Harry asked with a light chuckle, I just nodded as an answer.

"Adasha!" I blushed just as I heard that very familiar voice screaming out my middle name. He sits beside me, "So you helped Ty bring the coffees here, huh?"

"Uh-huh," I replied to him, "And Milo, don't call me that in public!" I whispered to him as he giggles.

Milo shrugs, "Okay, okay."

I cleared my throat. "Um, well, I guess I should be going because I obviously have school and I couldn't be late," Tybalt just nodded and I stood up from the couch and headed to the door but before opening it, I turned back to the brothers and looked at Tybalt, "I'm sorry for spilling my coffee on you. I'm very sorry." He just shrugged and I pulled the door open to leave the house of the Ellis'.

But a hand was wrapped around my wrist causing me to stop from doing so.

"Since you and I go to the same school, we'll drive you there."

Not again.

"Now come on!"

***

As soon as Milo had pulled over in front of the school, I hopped out of the car and ran inside of the campus so Harry could not catch up. I don't want to come to the class with him again, it's embarrassing! I barged inside our room and was glad I'm not late, yet. I sat on my seat then put in my earphones as I brought out my book from my bag and started reading from where I left off.

"Why'd you run off without me?" I jumped when someone had taken my book from me.

I rolled my eyes at him, removing my earphones and replied to him, "Why do you always do that? Ugh, Harry, you're so annoying."

"Oh shush, I'm reading." He replied, I smirked and snatched my book from him, "Hey! Give it back!" He whined.

"This is mine, not yours. Back off." He groaned and folded his arms above his chest making me laugh. Soon, our teacher had entered the class and started discussing her lessons.

The class went by so fast, I hadn't even realized that the bell has already rung. I immediately left our classroom, but as the annoying guy Harry always was, he blocked my way and scaring the hell out of me.

"Hey," he smiles at me; I rolled my eyes on him and just continued walking. "I'll give you a ride home, yeah?" He asked me with so much confidence as I turned around to answer him.

"A, you don't have a car. B, I don't want to."

He smirked. "A, Milo's going to pick me up. B, whether you like it or not, we'll still take you home."

"Whatever makes you happy, Ellis." He giggles, wrapping his arm around my shoulders making me shiver. "Uh, what are you doing?"

"Uh, wrapping my arm around your shoulders?"

"O-okay, can you like remove it?"

"And why would I do that?"

"Because I don't like it?"

"Oh come on, we're twins. Nothing's wrong with it."

"Ugh, fine." He smiles. Creepy..

This so called twin of mine's gonna be the death of me. I'm very sure of it. Glares are on me.

As we reached the school's gate, I could see his brother, Milo, waving at us. Harry unwrapped his arm around me, finally, and ran to his older brother.

"Hey, twins," Milo smiled to me, and all of my problems seem to have just gone through out of the window. "How's school?"

"Awesome-"

"Are you serious!?" I exclaimed, surprising the brothers as they looked at me with wide eyes. "It was terrible!" The brothers laughed.

"Anyway, thanks for picking me up. And, let's drive Lorien home? Then we'll go have Kofibucks afterwards."

"Wait, did I just hear Kofibucks? You're going to Kofibucks?"

Harry turned to me with a smirk plastered on his face, "Yep. Care to join us?"

"Is that even a question? I mean, Kofibucks' my obsession." They both chuckled at my reply.

"Well, hop in, Lorien." Milo told me and flashed me a smile. I smiled back to him and get inside the car, sitting comfortably at the back seat while Harry sat on the front with his older brother.

Milo pulled over; Harry and I immediately got out of the car. This twin of mine held the door for me causing a smirk to appear on my face.

"After you," he cheekily said.

"Oh stop, Harold Ellis." I said to him and smacked his forehead that leaves me laughing.

"That hurts!" He exclaims, making me laugh even louder.

"That's for being so childish!" I told him, he frowned and started walking near me. So I ran to Milo and hid behind his back, "Milo, help me!" I whined; he laughed.

"Come here you!" Toby screamed inside Kofibucks. Yep, we're like little kids inside here.

"If you can go against Milo," I teased him as he had shielded me away from Harry, I just laughed.

Milo laughs, "Now come on, kids, let's go order some drinks." He spoke and walked to the counter table. To my surprise, Harry held me by the arm and smacked me on the forehead and laughs loudly.

"Muahahaha! I just had my revenge!"

"Ow, that really hurts!" I whimpered.

"Sorry, let's go." He giggles and put his arm around me as he found ourselves a table. Suddenly, his phone had started ringing. He pulled it out of his pocket to pick up the call. "We're at Kofibucks, do you guys want anything? ....Oh okay then, See ya." I watched him lock his phone and placed it on the table.

"Who called you?"

"Ty," He answered shoving his phone back to his pocket. "He asked me where we were and said they'll be here in ten."

"Oh," was all I could reply, "But wait- they?"

"Yep, they." He replied with a smile on his face as he waves to his brother who was ordering our coffees, "Hey Mi! Ty and the boys are coming!"

"What? Ugh, fine." Milo groans, making me giggle. He looks so cute..

At exactly ten minutes, Tybalt, together with Rin and Romeo had arrived at Kofibucks. I looked at them while they are making their way to the table Harry and I are at.

I stared at Tybalt.

"Lorien! You're here!" Rin shouted and gave me a warm hug.

"Yeah well.." I just said and Romeo did the same.

"Welcome to the gang." Romeo mumbles.

"Thank you, I guess?" I nervously chuckled.

Rin and Romeo were seated beside Harry, and I swallowed an invisible lump in my throat as Tybalt sits down beside me. I looked down, and played with my fingers.

"Hi," I heard him whisper. I looked up to him, but he was looking down to his phone instead of me.

"Hi?" I repeated, "Hi-hi me? Oh, h-hi."

Tybalt chuckles.

Oh, his adorable laugh.

"Got our drinks!" Milo stated and he sat beside Tybalt, "Lorien, here's your dark mocha frap." He said and handed it to me, our hands brushed against each other which made me blush and heart beating fast.

"Lorien, you're so red. Are you sick?" Rin asked me making my heart beat faster than ever.

"N-no, I'm fine! I'm-I'm perfectly fine!" I replied and saw Tybalt looking at me through the corner of my eye.

I sunk in my seat as they started discussing about the new song they're all working on. I pulled my phone out of my pocket as I remembered mom. I have sent her a message and told her I'm at Kofibucks with Zenith and put my phone back inside of my bag.

"Why don't we ask Lorien since she's a girl and this is going to be a love song?"

"Huh?" I gasped.

"So you see, Ty and I have written some lyrics for the new song, can you check it out and tell us what you think?" Milo said as he handed me a notebook. I looked up to him and to Tybalt, I was surprised to see him looking right back at me.

"O-okay then," I replied to Milo and took the notebook from his hands.

Your lips so soft and red,

The thought of kissing you is stuck in my head.

Your beauty so bright and warm,

shining through the darkest storm

You're the one I can't live without

This fact is true, I have no doubt

I love the way you smile at me

I love the way together we're free

"Woah..." was all I had to say.

"Woah.... what?" Milo asked me followed by a light giggle.

"Thi-this is amazing!" I exclaimed, "I-I'm sure the fans are going to love this! The lyrics are so romantic!" Milo and Tybalt smiled at my comment. Wait what?

I stared at Tybalt's smiling face.

"What?" He asked me as he sipped his drink.

"You finally smiled at me," I whispered.

"What?" He chuckled, "It's not like I don't know how to smile." He added.

"I-I mean, I've never seen you smile at me until today. I-I'm just-"

"It's true though—" Milo cut me off sipping his coffee. "—that you haven't smiled at her until today. We almost thought you hate her."

"Yeah, why though?" Harry added. We all looked at him, he bit his lower lip then looked down and sighed. "I'm just not feeling okay.." He whispered but loud enough for all of us to hear.

"You're not feeling okay?" I asked him, "Wh-why would you not feel okay? What's bothering you? Maybe we can help," I added.

"No, no. You cannot help me with this. It's.... too big."

"No matter how small or big your problem is, we'll always be here for you." He looked at me in the eyes, "I'll always be here for you." I added, keeping my eyes locked on his.

"Ooh, will there be a couple this time?" Rin teased, Harry and Romeo began teasing us too.

"I-I mean, that's what fans do, right?" I stated, placing my drink back down to the table. "They-they promise to be always there for their idols no matter what happens. And I, happen to be your fan, so I promise to be here for you. Always." I smiled at him and looked to the others.

"I'll be here for all of you. I will support all of you in every step of the way. I will always include you to my prayers, because you insipire us, and I think that's the best we can do for you guys. To support you, to love you and be always there for you."

They just stared at me in silence.

"Wo-wow..." Milo broke the ice, "That-that's lovely," he adds in.

"No one has ever said that to us," Rin added with his mouth hanging open.

"Do-do you mean that? If you do, wow... you're.... awesome.." Romeo told me.

"Wow, Lorien, I-I... you totally left me speechless... wow.." Harry buried his face to his hands, smiling.

Tybalt stared at me with his eyes boring into mine.

"I-I don't know what to say.." he whispered as he chuckles, "Tha-thank you for saying that.. thank you." He said, almost crying so I rubbed his back and side-hugged him.

"Aw, wittle Tybalt is sad~! Let's all give him a big group hug!" Milo teased using baby talk then wrapped his long arms around me and Tybalt, soon then the other three had joined in.

"This is not happening," I mumbled. "Back off you guys."

"No, Ty needs a compassionate hug." Rin insisted.

"You all need to back off now!" And they did, laughing, including Tybalt. I fixed my hair and rolled my eyes on them. "I can't believe how cheesy I sounded back there," I whispered and mentally slapped my forehead.

"You were so cheesy that I almost cried," Tybalt teased me and I punched him playfully on the arm.

"Shut up." I glared at him; the band members laughed. "Let's go home, my mom's probably looking for me by now." I stood up and quickly made my way out of Kofibucks.

Milo unlocked the car and Tybalt too, "Let's trade," Rin suggested causing all of us to look at him.

"Trade what?" Milo asked with furrowed eyebrows.

Rin smiles, "You drive for us and Ty will drive for Harry and Lorien."

"What? But why?"

"I don't know. It just popped into my mind." Rin answered laughing.

Milo rolled his eyes on him, "You really need a psychiatrist, man."

"Whatever you say, Ellis. Let's get going."

Tybalt and Milo switched car keys, and Tybalt walked to Harry and I. I watched as Milo gets inside the gray car, he turned to me then smiled and finally, waved me a goodbye.

"Bye! Becareful!" I said and he nodded.

"Drive safe, bro!" Milo shouted to Tybalt.

"Got it!" Tybalt replied and gets inside the car, Harry and I too, as the car groans to life and Tybalt steps onto the gas then drove off.
