“Your Highness, Miss. Ravenwood is waiting in the office as per your instruction,” Moran’s voice floated in through the mind link. I immediately stood up from the plush high-back chair in my study.
“What happened?” Zenith gazed up at me, confusion marring her face. “Something came up,” I murmured. My body was taut with tension. Valerie’s matter would provide a slight respite from the turmoil going in my heart and mind.
