Igboland, 1810

Blackwheel held his breath as he felt the smell of the dead body of Nwakaego and Nneka's son hit his nose. He leaned over his shoulder, studying the stacked yams at the barn in Nneka's backyard. What have I done? I just killed the mother of my child and the son of my child!
