#12 The Alpha Suite

last update Last Updated: 2025-09-18 13:08:04

Daeira POV

We slipped through the gates of Seralyn Keep, and even though I’d already lived here for a few days… this was the first time I felt like I was walking into my home.

One twin on each side of me, Kael, calm and watchful, and Riven, smirking and buzzing with energy like a live wire in human skin. Both carrying bags slung across their broad shoulders like gods of war casually moving in.

I headed down the hall toward my suite, the one I’d been using before all… this. But something made me stop.

There was a door next to mine. I blinked, hadn’t noticed it before. Curiosity won, and I opened it.

“Oh… damn.”

It wasn’t just a bedroom. It was a full suite, private rooms, sitting area, a connecting door straight into mine.

“Looks like someone thought ahead,” I muttered.

Kael leaned over my shoulder, peering inside.“Convenient.”

Riven peeked around the other side of me and raised his brows. “...Are we being subtly moved in?”

I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck. “Honestly? Maybe we should just move into the master suite.”

Their heads snapped toward me like I’d just announced a royal orgy. “The big one?” Kael asked, eyes wide.

“The big fancy ass one?” Riven echoed, already grinning.

I shrugged. “Why not?”

“Hell. Yes.” “Show us the goods, Alpha.”

I laughed and they followed me down the hall. We didn’t walk, we rushed. Like super power walked. The second I opened the grand double doors to the master suite, the keep came alive.

Fireplaces lit themselves. A soft hum of magic vibrated in the air. Lanterns flickered with silver-blue flame. And everything inside? Stunning.

“What the...” I whispered, stepping into what looked like something out of a celestial catalog.

Soft, plush rugs. My favorite color palette, jewel tones and silvers. There was a small kitchenette, a cozy den with a TV, a beautiful open reading nook, and my father’s old office preserved like a memory.

The bed was ridiculous. A four poster, draped in velvet and furs. Big enough for five people, easy.

“That’s a sex bed,” Riven said immediately.

Kael snorted. “Definitely a sex bed. Or a full wrestling match bed. Either works.”

I turned bright red. “Can you both not”

“Oh no, we’re absolutely going to comment on the bed, Alpha,” Kael teased. “Look at it. It has ambitions.”

Riven threw himself onto the mattress, arms flung wide.

“I feel like a rich whore already. This is incredible.”

"Lunaryn," I hissed internally, "do something!"

"What? I love them. Let them worship our divine mattress."

I groaned and wandered into the massive en suite bathroom. It had a tub the size of a hot spring, a marble shower with enchanted rainfall, and enough counter space for a small army’s worth of product.

"This," Lunaryn purred, "is a sanctuary." She was right. I nodded dumbly, admiring everything like a kid in a candy store. The guys were still loudly appreciating everything when I peeked into the master closet. And almost passed out. Shoes. Gowns. Boots. Cloaks. Jewelry. All organized by color and season.

My mother’s pieces mixed with mine. Old clothes I remembered loving… and new, gorgeous ones I didn’t recognize at all. All tailored to my size.

“Okay,” I whispered. “Now I feel like a princess. A very overwhelmed, slightly panicking princess.”

I stepped out and found both twins standing in front of the closet, eyes wide. “We’ve been in castles,” Kael muttered. “We’ve seen wealth. This is… next level.”

“Yeah,” Riven added. “Like, are we living in a prophecy or a romance novel?”

I nodded, "You should see our treasure vault. Apparently my parents were wealthy and smart. Verywn and Royce tended and invested and grew the packs wealth also."

They both turned to look at me with wicked expressions.

“You know,” Kael started slowly, “we could start breaking in the bed tonight.”

“Just for quality control,” Riven added with a wink. “Very professional.”

I nearly choked. “Absolutely not,” I snapped. “I haven’t even figured out how to sleep in a normal bed with two grown men nearby.”

“We’re excellent cuddlers,” Kael offered.

“Award winning,” Riven added. I groaned and covered my face. “Goddess help me.”

"You’re going to love this," Lunaryn purred.

And the worst part? I already did.

The closet was a fucking dream. I was still pacing through it slowly, fingers drifting over rich velvets and embroidered silks, when I saw it, an outfit I didn't even remember ever owning. Black leather. Silver clasps. Moon sigils. Reinforced stitching in the elbows, knees, and chest. Battle gear, but beautiful. Feminine. Form fitting in all the best ways.

"Put it on," Lunaryn whispered. "That’s Alpha attire."

I did. It fit like a fucking glove. Perfect. And the second I looked in the mirror? “Damn,” I whispered. “I look like a whole ass problem.”

The leather hugged every curve, cinched, strong, and still easy to move in. My hair fell over my shoulders like silk and I added one of my silver crescent moon pins, just to really sell the “don’t fuck with me” vibe.

When I stepped back into the suite, the twins looked up from where they were lounging shirtless on the bed.

Riven let out a low whistle.

“Okay, holy shit.” Kael sat up straighter, eyes raking over me with appreciative heat.

“You look like a goddess of war. No notes.”

“That leather is doing unspeakable things to my brain,” Riven added.

I rolled my eyes, but blushed anyway. Then came the knock. I opened the door to find Tarin, practically glowing with happiness, and at her side was the man I’d seen claim her earlier, her mate. He was tall, broad, scarred, and already looked like he’d die if she asked.

“Tharix Greystone,” he said when I asked.

It fit. Tarin beamed. “Alpha, I was wondering if Tharix might have a place here...some sort of job. He’s got military background and,”

“Sharp as a tack,” Tharix added, voice gravelly but polite.

I tilted my head, studying him. “Then report to Royce. Whatever he needs, guard rotations, logistics, manual labor, you’ll fill it. As for housing…” I paused.

Then smiled. I know just where to put them. “Actually. Follow me.”

We made our way to the east wing of the keep deep into the older servant’s quarters. My boots echoed on the stone, and the hallway flickered with lanternlight.

I stopped at a wide wooden door with carvings of flowers, moons, and stars.

Tarin blinked. “Is this…?”

“The lady in waiting suite. It used to belong to my mother’s companion. She was killed during the attack. It’s been sealed ever since.” Tarin’s eyes filled with tears and she started wringing her hands.

“Alpha… this is too much.” She wailed.

“No,” I said, grabbing her hand. “It’s exactly right.”

She opened the door slowly. The suite was beautiful, softly enchanted to stay warm, bright, and peaceful. Cozy den, kitchenette, a fireplace, a king sized bed, two armoires, and a full bathroom.

“It’s perfect,” Tarin whispered.

“Welcome home,” I said.

She squealed and threw her arms around me. “Tharix, go get my trunks. All nine of them. You’re strong, right?”

He groaned but smiled, already turning to do exactly that.

"Goddess, I love love," Lunaryn sighed in my mind.

As we walked back toward the Alpha suite, the twins were quiet, but watching me carefully.

Right as we stepped inside, Kael spoke. “We’re already impressed with what we see.”

I blinked rapidly. “I'm sorry, What?”

Riven nodded, his usual grin softer than normal. “You may not know exactly what you’re doing, but you’re strong. You care. You make choices with heart, not ego. That’s rare.”

Kael stepped forward. “It’s an honor to be your mate, Daeira Seralyn.”

My breath caught. The words hit like a lightning strike. The last of the doubt? Gone. These men wanted me, not because fate said so, but because they saw me.

Me. I launched myself into their arms with a choked laugh, half tackle, half hug. And then I said it. Loud and clear.

“I, Alpha Daeira Seralyn, accept you, Riven and Kael Thorne, as my mates.”

They held me tighter, one on each side, and repeated in unison, “We accept you, Alpha Daeira Seralyn, as our mate.”

The bond snapped into place. It felt like a wave of stars exploding inside my chest. Fire and ice and peace and need all at once. Our energies locked, our wolves howling in perfect sync.

"Mine," Lunaryn breathed. "Finally."

And then… the kissing happened. Kael cupped my jaw and kissed me slow, deep, like he was memorizing the shape of my soul.

Riven pressed against my back and slid his hand along my waist, then boldly down. He firmly cupped my ass cheek and gave it a squeeze. I gasped right into Kael’s mouth. Riven chuckled behind me.

“Sorry. Couldn’t resist.”

“Not sorry,” Kael murmured, and kissed me again, stealing the air from my lungs. I melted between them.

My bondmates.

My war twins.

My home.

And for the first time in forever…

I felt wanted, whole, and safe.

The balance I once forged in quiet silver was unraveling thread by thread, the earth groaning beneath the weight of what had been opened. And she was not ready. Not yet. But she was awakening. I stood on the edge of the celestial veil, veiled in silver starlight and the hum of millennia old magic, watching the world spin in its slow, fractured cycle. Beneath me, the realms trembled.Too many wolves had fallen. Too many shadows had returned. And still, my child, the last of the Seralyn line, the White Flame, had not yet uncovered her full path."It's time," I murmured, voice like starlight over still water.I turned toward the mirrored scrying pool and whispered the name of my chosen seer."Thessaly Moonmere," I called gently. She held a scroll, sealed in red wax and trembling slightly as if the parchment itself feared me.“My Lady… it’s urgent. From Commander Velst.”I snatched it from her fingers. She didn’t even wait for dismissal, smart girl. She ran. I broke the seal. Read the first line. And froze.“Five thousand?” I whispered.“No… no, that’s impossible!”My hand clenched around the parchment. Witnesses confirm they were former Bloodmark soldiers. Destination unknown, but believed to be Seralyn territory."CLANG. My wine glass exploded against the wall in a rain of red and crystal. I
