“Well, how was he?” Andrus asks as soon as Isaiah walks into the cabin.
“He’s…” Isaiah glances at me, “alive.”
I make a disgusted scoff and he rolls his eyes, making his way to where Iris, Andrus’ wife, is making food. “So he’s not doing well, but you don’t want me to catch you in a lie.”
