Calla’s POV

The thrill wasn’t entirely fading as we drove back to the safe house. If anything, it grew stronger, blending with relief and joy until my entire body was buzzing with energy that needed a release.

“We did it,” I thought. We had managed to pull off a heist in a risky area and got away with valuable evidence that could make a huge difference.

“That was amazing,” Luna said as we parked in front of the cabin, her voice filled with excitement. “We got in and out like ghosts with everything going just as planned.”

“Calla’s planning made all the difference,” Jake added. “She knew exactly what we needed and how to get it quickly, which helped us avoid getting caught.”

Hearing their praise felt great, validating that I was more than just someone who needed protection. But what really stood out to me was Kane’s silence, how he had been looking at me since we left the building with a focus that sent shivers down my spine.

Once we got inside the cabin, Luna and Jake hurried off

  • The Lawless Biker Alpha and the Fearless Lawyer   Chapter 40: A Sister’s Desperation

Sofia’s POVThe GPS guided me to an industrial area on the edge of town, where everything looked rough—concrete, chain-link fences, and old buildings that definitely seemed to have seen better days. I had pieced together from Calla’s vague hints that I should find the Iron Fang clubhouse here.Instead, I came across yellow police tape and an empty parking lot.“You’ve got to be kidding me,” I mumbled as I pulled up to the barricade blocking the entrance. The building beyond looked deserted—dark windows, locked doors, giving off a vibe that screamed “crime scene.” Notices posted on the entrance warned that trespassers would be prosecuted.I sat in my car for a moment, trying to decide what to do next. The sensible choice would be to turn around, head home, and let the authorities handle the investigation. But when had being sensible ever helped me find my sister?Just then, a police sedan pulled up next to me. It was unmarked but had that official look to it. A woman in her forties ste

  • The Lawless Biker Alpha and the Fearless Lawyer   The Tribunal’s Summons

Calla’s POVThe package arrived just as the sun was rising, brought by a courier who looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. There was no return address, no delivery confirmation—just a small wooden box wrapped in black silk that seemed to scream “bad news.”I was still groggy, wearing one of Kane’s oversized shirts and enjoying my first cup of coffee when the knock on the door shattered the morning silence. Kane opened the door, and his entire stance shifted to alert as soon as he glimpsed what the courier was carrying.“For Calla Reyes,” the courier said, nearly pushing the box into Kane’s hands before hurrying back to his vehicle, as if he understood exactly what he was delivering. We all gathered in the living room—me, Kane, Luna, and Jake—staring at the box as if it were a ticking time bomb.“Well,” Luna finally broke the silence. “Are we going to open this mysterious package or just keep staring at it?”“It could be a bomb,” Jake chimed in helpfully. “Marcus seems like the ty

  • The Lawless Biker Alpha and the Fearless Lawyer   The Evidence

Calla’s POVLuna had taken over the dining table, printed documents scattered across it like pieces of a complicated puzzle. Jake stood next to her, and they both examined the information we had gathered with a seriousness that made me anxious.“This is much bigger than we realized,” Luna said as Kane and I joined them. I could still feel the lingering warmth of our earlier connection. I wondered if Luna noticed how we looked or that we’d been gone for twenty minutes, but she didn’t mention it.“How much bigger?” Kane asked, placing a comforting hand on my lower back.Jake slid a folder towards us. “These bank records show that Marcus has been sending money to Judge Harlow. He’s been making regular payments every month for the past three years, adding up to about half a million dollars.”I opened the folder, and my mind began processing the information quickly. “This is really serious. Harlow was involved in key court cases tied to Marcus’s interests during this time. If we can prove

  • The Lawless Biker Alpha and the Fearless Lawyer   The Heist

Calla’s POV“You want to break into Marcus’s lawyer's office?” I repeated, trying to wrap my head around Jake's plan. “In the middle of Blackthorn territory? To steal documents that may or may not even be there?”“Pretty much,” Jake replied, spreading out blueprints on the table as if we were just planning a regular day, not plotting serious crimes.“That’s crazy.”“It’s necessary,” Kane chimed in from his spot against the wall. “The Tribunal arrives in three days. If we can show that Marcus lied about evidence against you or messed with important records, it gives us a strong advantage.”I examined the blueprints—an office building downtown, fifteen stories high, with Marcus’s legal team on the twelfth floor. Security would be tight, with cameras everywhere and possibly extra supernatural defense measures I couldn’t even imagine.“This isn't why I went to law school,” I muttered in disbelief. “Not to practice, but to plan heists for legal documents?”Luna, sitting in the corner, chuc
