A slow, wicked grin spread across my lips as I watched her tremble in the dim candlelight. Her wide, terrified eyes darted around the room, searching for an escape she would never find.

"It’s time to have some fun," I murmured, my voice dripping with cruel amusement.

Turning on my heel, I strode toward the old wooden chest that sat against the far wall. Its surface was worn, the edges chipped, as if time itself had tried to erase its sinister purpose. I knelt before it, fingers trailing over the rusted metal latch before flipping it open with a creak.

Inside, a collection of tools gleamed under the flickering light,blades of different sizes, iron tongs, rusted nails, and other instruments designed for one thing: pain. I ran my fingers along their edges, enjoying the weight of each one before settling on a sleek, sharp knife.
