Transmigration

These doctors explained to her that her parents and family couldn't come to see her because they didn't know if this fever was contagious or not and so until they learnt more about it, she had been put in isolation.

Cassy tried to struggle to stay conscious and listen to the doctors but it was as if her visions were calling to her and tired of struggling, she decided to focus on them and that's when she heard a voice.

'Find the golden dragon, find the seven power stones and forge a weapon that can destroy the demon god.

The golden dragon is the only one who can stand up to the demon god but he is not powerful enough.

He needs your help, you The legendary mage, his soul mate, and he needs this weapon to fulfill his destiny and save us all.'

Astoria World 2-01

Cassy, after this weird message, woke up and she was suffocating and drowning... Drowning?

Fortunately she was an excellent swimmer and after only a few fathoms she resurfaced and after coughing and spitting out the water that was in her lungs, she realized that she was in a river with a strong current and so instead of fighting the current, because she was really at the end of her strength, she decided to let herself be carried by it and as soon as she would find an opportunity she would return to the dry land.

This opportunity presented itself very quickly and while the current was dragging her towards the shore she took advantage of it to seize a big root of tree and she was finally able to pull herself on the dry land.

Cassy then lay down on her back exhausted and pensive, she was totally unaware of where she was, in a forest apparently but where exactly she had no idea, there was no forest around the place where she lived and why she had woken up drowning ...

It was then that suddenly, without any warning sign, an unbearable pain at the level of her temples appeared and she could not help but moan and swear while pressing her hands on each side of her head hoping to decrease the intensity of this pain.

Of course it didn't work and as she felt her head like being crushed by an unknown force, she was invaded by memories that didn't belong to her.

She immediately realized that this world was not her world and that she was now in Astoria, a world filled with magic where mages, who must be the equivalent of wizards on Aurora, were respected and could become very powerful beings.

She realized that the girl whose memories she had received had not had an easy life. They were the same age but she had no family, she had grown up in an orphanage that had fed and housed her but she had never been happy there.

At school it was also bad and she was bullied by the other students, in fact it was the group that bullied her that threw her in the river, which eventually led to her death, because she saw no other explanation for her coming into this world.

The only logical explanation for her situation was that she had died of this mysterious fever and that her soul had transmigrated into the body of this girl when she had lost her life.

Her headache was diminishing, and she now felt totally exhausted. She was also really cold, the water of this river was icy and every part of her body was numb with cold.

So she did what she had always done since she was a little girl when she was cold, she conjured a flame in her mind, and when she saw it, she was relieved to realize that she had not lost her powers.

It would have been a shame if she had finally found herself in a world where she could use her powers freely and she couldn't use them anymore.

So she concentrated on the flame and she immediately felt her whole body warm up.

Her clothes also dried and she gradually regained her strength, this flame was not only there to warm her but to give her energy when she was exhausted like now.

She sat down and decided to start by looking at what she looked like, the flood of memories had been so fast and she had seen so many new faces that she wasn't even sure which one was hers.

She approached the edge of the river and leaned forward to see her new face, Cassy smiled contentedly, she had long silky soft caramel hair that reached down to the middle of her back, she wore a peasant blue dress with white lace to mark her cleavage that showed almost nothing of her white skin.

Her face was heart-shaped with beautiful cheekbones, a pretty little nose and a sensual mouth that had a natural red tint that contrasted with the color of her skin which was, as the rest of her body, rather white. And finally her eyes were still blue but they were darker than before of a tint that resembled that of a sapphire, they were also almond-shaped with long eyelashes, in a word ... She was beautiful !

After that she sat down by the river to think about her options, she had no intention of going back to that orphanage or school, the body of this girl was also 18 years old and she was simply going to change her identity and take it over, she would keep the name her parents had given her.

The problem was that apart from her clothes, she didn't even have any shoes left, this girl had probably lost them when she fell into the river.

Without a penny in her pocket it was hard to want to become independent, except for her powers she still seemed to possess and master as usual, she had nothing... Her powers... It reminded her of something.

If she continued along this river she would arrive at the city of Catara, and just today and tomorrow, all those who wished to take the tests to enter the mixed Academy of Catara could do so. It was a mixed Academy not because girls and boys were mixed together but because the Academy of Catara taught both mages and warriors.

Cassy, who had no doubt that she would be able to enter the Academy by passing the tests for mages, thought that it was really the ideal solution to all her problems. If she entered the Academy, she would be fed and housed, and moreover she would learn to use and develop her powers.

Now that she knew what to do, she got up and started to walk along the edge of the river, the fact that she was barefoot was really not practical and it slowed her down a lot, but as she was moving slowly, it allowed her to discover something very interesting.
