Chapter 2

Finally, I reached out and rushed to the car that I saw the bride go in not long ago.

"Excuse me, please" I say to the people surrounding the car.

Everybody turned to look at me.

"Didn't you just..."

"Forget it, just get in already" another person says.

The first person who spoke was my school best friend, Gaia and she doesn't know that I have a twin.

I bet she even thinks I'm the one getting married today.

In fact, not everyone knows about that but that's a story to be told another time.

"Sister, you finally made it" she said with a wide smile on her face.

If I didn't know better, I'd have said that they have changed my sister to an elegant and radiant angel.

"Why were you late though, I waited for you?" She asks.

I gave her the you know why look.

"Anyways, I'm so happy today sister, really happy" she says.

She lifts up her hand and showed me the now beautiful ring resting on her finger.

"Isn't it beautiful?" she asks.

I just sat there, mouth agape.

I've never seen something so flashy as this. It just look out of this world. It must have cost a fortune I bet.

"Here, try it on" she says, trying to pull it off but I remove it.

"No, it's yours" I stop her.

"But it's also yours, what's mine is yours, remember?" she says.

Yeah, I clearly remember, I was the one who came up with the slogan.

But not this time.

I was feeling a little naughty so.

"Does that mean I can share your husband with you?" I ask, giving out that mischievous smile of mine.

"Uhmm..."

She hesitated.

"If you'd like to" she says with a little bit of uncertainty in her voice.

"Is that jealousy I hear in your voice?" I decided to tease her more.

"No sister, really, how can I be jealous of you, you are me after all and I am you, so, it's no big deal" she says.

Another slogan I came up with.

I heaved out a long sigh.

"Relax there little bride, I was just pulling your leg, I'm sure he's not my type" I say.

And I am a 100% sure he isn't.

"And what made you say so?" she asks but I chose to ignore her.

"You know, sometimes, I used to wish that he was a twin, then you could have married him" she says, excited.

"Yeah, as if" I rolled my eyes.

Again with her fairy tale of us marrying twin and then we'll give birth to twin, how cliche.

"But seriously sister, who is your type of man?" she asks.

"None, that is" I answer.

She knows very well that I hate men and anything that has to do with them.

That one thing that we don't have in common. She was always thinking about how one day her prince charming would storm in and save her while I on the other hand, said that prince charming should go shove his charm in his ass.

Guess we have all gotten what we wanted now.

"But where is the groom, he should be with us, right?" I ask.

"Uhmm... Actually, he'll be coming along with his family, you know..." She drifts off.

What kind of a groom leaves his bride right after the wedding, that's awkward.

She turned, facing me.

Do you know this feeling that you are looking right at yourself, like in the mirror, well, more perfect than that but more prettier, well that's how I'm feeling right now.

Me and my sister have the same features, starting from our bright emerald eyes, straight platinum shoulder length colored hair. Sometimes we both like to keep it curly but today, it's all tied up in a bun. Our heart shaped face, small pointed nose and those think lips are almost like they have been replicated in the process.

"What type of man do you want to spend the rest of your life with, you know you've got to get a man to support you someday" she says, looking all pouty.

Zeph of all people should know why I hate men

Men have brought nothing but distraction in our lives. Like when mom's husband left her for another woman and when that little twit she called a son tried to force himself on us.

Gosh! Why am I thinking about the past took much today.

It's a happy occasion, so I shouldn't waste it on them.

"You know what, I've got great news for you" I say, changing the topic.

She smiled brightly, exposing her evenly aligned white teeth.

"We have passed the entrance exams, now your dream has come true, you will become an engineer soon" I say happily.

She just gave me a weak smile, like she wasn't all excited about the news as I was.

What's going on with her now?.

But before I could get a chance to ask, the driver spoke.

"We have arrived ma'am" he says through the speaker.

Did I mention we are driving in a limousine.
