The Due Punishment

Author’s POV

As Elena arrived at the house, she found it eerily silent. She went to the kitchen and drank a glass of water. Ms. Tully came with fresh veggies and placed them on the counter.

“Is Mr. Parker home?” Elena asked her and she nodded.

She went to their rooms and looked for him but he wasn’t there, so she went to check his study. When she opened the door, a waft of alcohol hit her face and making her gasp. Turning on the lights, she saw Aslan. The place was a mess. He was seated there only in his jeans with an almost empty bottle in his hand.

Their eyes met but his face remained blank. She looked at him for a good minute and then turned on her heels and left him sulking.

Aslan smirked when he saw her going away. Last time, she had been there to console him, but now? She really hated him.
