Author’s POV

Aslan didn’t return home that night, but went to Matt’s penthouse. He was not home and Aslan had a key. He didn’t want to leave Elena alone but he needed some time to arrange what he wanted to do to John.

Elena couldn’t sleep. She was missing his warmth, and his hot breath in the crook of her neck. He was always so close to her that the bed seemed too large tonight. She didn’t have a phone with her so she could call him. He was drunk and she knew that Mike was driving, but she was worried for him.

“God, keep him safe.” She said joining her hands and tried to sleep but to no use.

Next morning, she was working on her story and it was already noon when the door opened and walked in Aslan. He looked at her, nodded slightly and went inside the bathroom.

Aslan found her working. He was actually wondering if she was worried for him last night, but when she didn’t ask him anything, he made his way to bathroom. Why was he expecting her to be worried?
