The Mistake

Elena cried some more on her fate. In a few hours, she had gone from a wife to a bought property. Her dignity was robbed, her freedom was robbed, and a man, whom she didn’t know, was ready to rob her body. She felt sick thinking how his hands had groped her.

She was angry at John. He had been a drunkard, she accepted. He started gambling, she accepted. He hit her, she didn’t say a word. But selling her off was beyond what she could take.

And not just sell, he sold her to a dangerous man who was unable to hear a rational argument. She didn’t want him. It was plain and simple, but he was having a hard time understanding. But Elena was sure of one thing- when he comes back, he will have her. No matter what.

She has to run, she thought and wiped her eyes. She looked down at her clothes. Her shirt was torn. She searched the suite. The large door she opened revealed a huge bedroom with a sparkling skyline of New York. The entire wall was glass and she was mesmerized for a second. B
