I watched Zephyra bring Nate out of the dungeon cell and into the clearing; it was time to execute my plan. I called for one of my men.

“Bring the hostages out to the front lawn”

He grunted in acknowledgement and left the room, I allowed my wolf to come to the forefront of my mind; my fangs elongated, and my claws were out, I ran them along the walls of the corridor and stepped out onto the lawn, Zephyra’s surprises at my feet semi-concious. Standing silently; the rumble of the thunder in the sky and streaks of lighting; things were about to get deadly.

Zephyra looked up and the expression on her face was priceless; a mix of fear and rage filled her, as her eyes looked from the floor to me and then back to the floor. Her eyes flashed copper, I could see her wolf breaking through the surface.

Nathan on the other hand was almost like a lifeless corpse in Zephyra’s arms, I had completely broken his spirit. I feel like I had already won the battle. I moved two steps closer to Zephy
