Chapter 60. Shared dream.

After James left, my family arrived at the mansion. None of the boys allowed me to get up, since my attitude has made them anxious. Surely Parker must have told them about what happened during the afternoon and also what I asked him to find out about James. I insist, there is something about him that doesn’t give me confidence.

“I feel the same way, Emma. There is something in his eyes, as if he is hiding something.”

“And his hands? Did you notice his hands?” I asked Mia.

She seems to think for a few seconds, until she tells me, “They were cold.”

“Exactly, Mia. Werewolves or Lycans never have chilly hands, because of their high body temperature. Doesn’t that seem strange to you?”

She frowns and then says to me, “What creatures have cold hands? Because clearly that man is a supernatural being, but a wolf? Wolf, it is not.”
