Chapter 68 - Feeling better
Amelia POV
I walk into the safe house and I feel anxious. I stop near the door and I rest my back against the wall closing my eyes and taking deep breaths.
“Mel? Hey, hey, what’s wrong?” - Gabe asks as I slide down the wall and sit on the floor hugging my legs
“I- I can’t breathe” - I let out
“Come on” - Gabe says grabbing me and carrying me on his lap to my bedroom.
It’s amazing how he kept it. Even after moving the safe house to a new location, he brought my bedroom. I love it. He places me on the bed and I take a deep breath but no air comes in or out.
Tears stream down my face.
“What’s going on?” - he asks me
