LIAM

SOPHIE, JOSH, AND I — THIRD FLOOR, MAIN HALL

The reinforced door slammed behind us with a metallic thud.

And there she was.

Sylvia. The Blood Witch Alpha.

Standing amidst broken glass and twisted steel, her lab coat fluttering like a flag of warning. Two Alphas flanked her—both morphed, jaws drooling, eyes glowing amber. Beasts. Monsters. Ready to kill.

She hadn’t even bothered shifting. That’s how confident she was.

Even with stories swirling about Moonhart Pack’s dominance, nothing compared to seeing her up close. Tall, sharp-eyed, her presence carved into the air like a razor.

Above, the leader of them all.

Six Alphas, his loyal hounds.

And then her—the seventh.

The only female Alpha in Steinhart… or so the legends said. But they forgot someone.

Sophie.

Second Lieutenant. Crimson Pack’s hidden blade.

Third strongest in our pack—and a fucking Alpha herself.

“Shit,” I hissed as sparks burst from my earpiece. “She crushed the sound emitters. That’s out of the subject now.”

SYRA“What?” I exclaim, my voice cracking as I stare wide-eyed at Adrian. “What the hell? How the hell are you here?”He doesn’t look at me. His eyes are locked on the horizon beyond the edge of the cliffs, where the valley stretches into an endless ocean of bluish-green mist. It shimmers like liquid glass under moonlight, floating with tiny glowing motes—pixie-like dust that dances on unseen currents. There’s a tugging sensation in my chest, a strange pull, like a song only I can hear calling out from the mist.Adrian steps forward, his hands in his pockets, casual as always—but his voice isn’t. “Well, Sunshine,” he says with a sigh, “hate to tell you this, but... you’re trapped in your awakening.”“Trapped?” My brow furrows. “Trapped where? I don’t feel—” I blink rapidly, the air thickening. “What awakening?”He turns toward me, mouth opening—then stops.A blinding figure emerges ahead of us, cutting through the veil of dust like a blade of light. She doesn’t walk—she glides. Her

GOTHIC LUNA“Listen, so-called Blood Witch,” I sneer, spitting out the bitter taste of iron from my cracked lip. My fingers curl into a fist, trembling with a cocktail of pain and power. “You think you’re the only female Alpha around?”She doesn’t even blink. Her crimson eyes gleam like stained rubies under moonlight, and her mouth curves into a slow, deliberate smile—one that doesn’t reach her eyes.“You poor, trembling mutt,” she hums, tilting her head as her long blood-colored braid slithers over her shoulder like a living rope. “Calling yourself an Alpha doesn’t make you one. It just makes your delusions... entertaining.”She moves.I don’t even see it.One second she’s ten feet away, the next her elbow is buried in my ribs. My body lurches sideways with a violent cough. My vision snaps white from the impact. She doesn’t give me a second.I block, barely. Her claws rake across my forearm, leaving five burning lines of shredded skin. Blood spatters the dirt, and she clicks her tong

ALPHA OLIVEROLIVER – THIRD FLOOR, STEINHART MAIN LAB CENTERThe hum of chemicals boiling was a kind of comfort—steady, predictable, unlike most things in this hellhole.Across the glass lab bench, Sylvia stood poised, her crimson hair tied in a tight braid, stirring something thick and iridescent in a rune-etched cauldron. Her fingers moved with precision—an artist of blood and elements. Even from here, I could feel the power humming off her skin like static. Then the shrill ring of my phone shattered the calm.I clicked my tongue, slipping the device between my shoulder and ear as I sprinkled stabilizer into the steaming vial.“Hello, darling.” Phil’s voice. Soft, playful, and annoying in the middle of lab work.“What is it, darling? Cracked the crystal yet?” she cooed.“What do you take—”The sound hit like a missile.EEEEEEEEEEEEE!A high-pitched, nauseating screech screamed through my skull. My knees nearly buckled. My phone slipped from my hand, clattering to the ground.“Olive

ATTACK ON THE STEINHART RESEARCHJOSH“Stick to the plan. Got it?” Second Lieutenant Sophie’s voice was sharp, slicing through as we suited up in the back of the black SV van. The van vibrated faintly as the engine idled, and the faint click of bullets sliding into chambers echoed like a countdown to chaos.Caleb sat near the front, his fingers flying across the screen of his tablet. Streams of code danced in green light across his lenses. “Security feed's almost ours,” he muttered, barely audible over the metallic symphony of weapons being locked and loaded.I ran my hand along the cold steel of my rifle before slipping it into the duffel bag, heart pounding against my ribs like war drums. This was it. Steinhart wasn’t just a fortress—it was a legend. And we were about to punch it in the face.“What’s so funny?” Liam asked as he tugged the collar of his MS Security uniform into place. The disguise looked real—too real, and somehow that made it even more nerve-wracking.I smirked,

DOUBLE-FACE ALPHA JAKE MOONCLAWTHIRTY MINUTES TO STEINHART RESEARCH ATTACK.“What did he say?” I ask Lucian the moment the call ends.“He’s on his way,” Lucian replies, though his gaze is no longer on me. It’s fixed Nathan. Syra, still in her wolf form, lies curled beside him, unusually calm. Her fur shimmers like a greenish flame, an ethereal glow of Wolf Nature igniting around her.Lucian's voice tightens. “How do you know so much about the Blessed Luna and the Alpha King legend?”“It all connects to their clan,” Uncle Luke chimes in.Uncle Justin adds, “There are fifteen elders currently in Kenya. Marion is among the oldest. They see themselves as guardians of the Blessed Luna.”Nathan looks up, eyes now glowing blue. “We don’t ‘see’ ourselves as anything. We are. There are six guardians chosen by the Moon herself—tasked with protecting the Blessed Luna from any darkness that seeks her.”Lucian frowns. “Six? Where are the rest?”Before Nathan can answer, the front door slams open
