Chapter 43 (It hurts...)

"Jasmine, did you bring the files that Elli had asked you to?" Sandra spoke from behind Jasmine. Jasmine understood that Stefen had not fallen accidently. She took a long breathe and turned around.

"Yes ma'am," She answered.

"Then, were you waiting for me to come to you and give you a special invitation? Bring them in my office, NOW," Sandra ordered and walked away.

Jasmine turned around and sighed. She didn't realize for how long she was holding her breathe. She grabbed the files from her desk where Stefen had kept them and walked towards Sandra's office without uttering a word to Stefen who was still hiding.

Stefen hid under the table for few more minutes. After he was certain that no one was around, he slowly raised his head and peeped. After assuring for the second time he quietly walked out of the department before anyone else finds him there and starts questioning him.
